It's gotten noticeably smaller, and several of its feathers have fallen out.

After only a few minutes, its skin has turned to a normal, human skin tone. Its tail has shrunk to only a few feathers, and its arms and legs have become a normal length.

After a few more minutes, all that's left is a young, teenage human girl, surrounded by a massive pile of feathers.

She's unconscious. By now, he can't feel the arm that was bit. Which isn't exactly pleasant. But, other than the bite, it doesn't seem like the numbness is doing any harm.
