She relaxes on the fur, smiling.

The King just sighed. "What do you want?"

"No." Twiggs shook his head. "Mortal disbelief had always taken a bit of the Nevernever, but not like this. This is...different. It's hard to explain. You'll see what I mean if you go any farther. He handed them each a plate with a huge slab of red berry, half an acorn and a pile of what looked like steamed white grubs.

She nibbles at the berry.

"See my dad never liked me"he said to Thomas"nothing I live here is all"he said to his dad

Ash shook his head. At least their dad didn't completely ignore them as he did to Ash.

After everyone was done eating, Twiggs made Linna a bed of squirrel hides and chipmunk fur.

She smiles at him thankfully.

Puck stayed up late into the night, talking to Twiggs

She's asleep within minutes.

Later that night, a loud snore came from Puck. He was sprawled out on the couch across from Lin, one arm flung over his eyes, his torso wrapped in a squirrel blanket. But, something was off...The fireflies that had earlier been bright were now sleeping, so everything was dark, everything except a flickering orange glow outside the window. Maybe Twiggs had a porch light on or something.

The snore wakes her up.
