Ase~
"Point taken." She said looking at the few potatoes she still had. Tomorrow she needed to go find more, it would be terrible to run out. Next to go in was the carrots then the green beans. Lastly the tomatoes. "Now we let it simmer. Should be done in a few."

"Okay." Shadow said not wanting to hear any details. She was hungry like any normal creature should be.

Orinight-
He sat in thought for a moment. "Shadow I want to be honest with you." He said looking away. "You asked me last night if a kit could wait. Truth is the longer we wait the least likely we will actually have one. You know how dangerous the woods are, what if when I go out to get food tomorrow I never come back?"

"I don't think I can handle this......" Shadow said. She felt tears coming. "Please don't go..... don't leave me alone..... my only friends are the empty shadows." Shadow said.

Orinight-
"Shadow I wouldn't leave you if I could help it. And if we had a kit then if I did end up dead you wouldn't be alone."

Theon sat quietly listening to Ase working away in the kitchen when she announced that all that was left to do was wait. This seemed as good a time as any to ask.

"This might sound strange but... could I get a better look at you? I mean like... get a feel for what you look like. I just figure if were going to be living together... unless you're not comfortable with it, which is fine."

There was no hidden motive in his wanting to know what Ase looked like, he was simply just curious. She sounded older than she probably was, this sort of life tended to do that to a person. Plus it was always good to get to know as much as you could about someone before you put all of your trust in them, not that she hadn't really proven that already.

Ase~
"I don't mind." She smiled stepping up to him. She was a doctor, she didn't care about wierd questions people asked. She had been asked a lot of things, many of them crude though she just laughed them off. This was a rather simple request of him to ask, and not nearly as rude.

Theon stood in front of Ase and placed a hand on her shoulder. She was several inches shorter than him and built more like a typical human.
He ran a hand down her hair which turned out to go down to about the centre of her back and judging by the texture was probably blonde or brunette had it still had colour.
He moved on to her face standing a bit closer now as he tried his best to get a grasp of her features. She was human for sure at least mostly human. Her eyes were round not slanted in the slightest, her nose had a curve to the bridge that his did not, as eleven noses tend to slope smoothly from the forehead. She had soft features in general, those of a young woman. She was probably a few years younger than him and had just fully settled into her adult appearance.

He stepped back and gave her a smile. "Thanks. I don't know how much the opinion of a blind man is worth but, I think you're quite pretty." he paused as he ran a hand through his hair, inadvertently exposing his ears again. They were pointed like an elves but not elongated.
"Though if I'm being honest, I was sort of hoping to have met someone else with olde blood... No offence, its just that it gets kind of lonely being a half elf."

Ase~
When he finished she backed away her cheeks a bit rosy. That was something, she had never felt a touch so kind before. He may have been wrong, she might have had a tiny bit of elf in her but her features told other wise. "Your only the second I have seen." She said returning to the stove to make sure the food wasn't burning. "The first will he didn't last long after I met him. It was a time ago, back when I had regular visits arranged. He came in with an gash on his side though no one told me how he got it. He bled out before I could help." She said sadly recalling that day. Despite everything he still passed, it was a shame.

Theon smiled sadly. "Yeah... really makes you wonder where all the olde bloods disappeared to you know? The elves and the faeries just... gone. It never made any sense."

Some had speculated that the disappearance of the olde bloods a decade prior to the disappearance of the colour, was either a sign or possibly the cause of the current state of the world.
