Obsidian noted that Mercury was worried about her scales. He had an idea, but first: "You say that an animus can enchant anything?"

"I suppose it can" Mercury said, waking up "wait, are you going to enchant Coastal?!" She asked, alarmed "don't do that, that would be horrible!" She told him. "She would be so upset, and angry with you, plus, if you enchanted a dragon, especially one of us, no one would trust you!" Mercury told him.

"Oh right, I heard you can enchant your own scales" Mercury said "well, when Coastal woke up, she was having a nightmare, and when Darkness tried to pin her down, Coastal attack Darkness, nothing too bad, but there's a pretty deep shoulder wound" Mercury said.

"Really? You can enchant yourself?" He hesitated, thinking about all the soul nonsense earlier. Stop being so superstitious, he told himself. "I enchant my scales to never crack or dry out even in the absence of heat," he whispered, wondering if it had worked. He didn't feel any different, but maybe his scales had just been fine before. Maybe he worded it wrong? Or perhaps he was being silly and he wasn't an "animus" after all. Or... maybe it had worked, the small, optimistic part of his brain said.

Rhythm was still dreaming about super scavengers.

Mercury jumped hearing the other dragon yell in her sleep. "Hmm, I wonder what she's dreaming about" Mercury said, slightly laughing at the dragon's strange outbursts.
