"How are we gonna get any meat off of that?" She laughed.

"That's the key. You can't hit them with it, just get it close enough to scare them to death." Maggie smiled. "Watch, see that rabbit out there?" She said pointing. She took out one of the smaller bombs and held it in her hand. She looked at the rabbit and threw the bomb right next to it. It shuddered on impact scaring the rabbit enough to cause it to have a heart attack. It twitched and fell over dead. "See? Doesn't work all the time though."

"I'll shoot the ones unaffected, then."

"Alright." Maggie said retrieving the rabbit. "Let's keep moving. Only bad this about bombs is that they make a lot of noise, scares the rest of the animals off."

He yawned as he woke up. Every part of him was sore, mainly from the whole getting eaten by a worm part. July opened his eyes finding Pepper curled up next to him. He smiled down at her letting her sleep still.

She shrugged. Then she twitched her ears. A pheasant. She carefully nocked an arrow and shot it, straight into the animal's heart. She crouched down beside and looked into its eyes,"You will serve us well," she whispered.

Pepper yawned and sat up slowly. She rubbed her eyes and looked around, she remembered where she was and turned around "good morning." She half yawned stretching out her arms

"Resquiescat in pace, or nya:wen." Maggie smiled. "One's Italian for rest in peace, the other means thank you in Mohawk. Just thought I would brighten you horizons. Come on then let's see if we can get a pig, that will feed us for a while."

"Well then we better get moving, those natives won't be asleep much longer," she said as she hauled the dead rabbit in her pack.

"Mornin'" July smiled down at her. "Did you sleep well?"

"Got it." Maggie said looking around in the sand. "There, hooves prints. I think they are deer though..."

She shrugged,"Deer, pig, what's the difference? They both have meat," she said as she started walking along the trail.
