I was just admiring those fellas this morning. ^.^
They're going to look fantastic when full-grown! Such a gothic look...

Congrats to Asviloka on the first 6V Flowing Sunshine! ^.^
She has a very BUSY design...so much to admire! Were you aiming for this particular trait combination?

I actually aim for as much chaos in my projects as possible - ideally, I'll have no idea what will pop up. ;) I love the surprise of it, the variety, the possible combinations that I'd never have thought of. I ultimately want a 6-vis for each of my themes with each possible trait, though some are harder to find than others. There are only a couple themes I actually have access to the complete genome for (not counting restricted traits.)

BTW, if you want to utilize any of my Sakura for breeding with, let me know. I have a handful of different 6-vis, and quite a few almosts.

Thank you for the offer, but I think my Sakuras are coming up well. Shouldn't be much longer before I start filling offspring requests! ^.^ Plus, if I start adding new genetics now, who knows what I'll end up with. I like the certainty of knowing how they'll look.
You definitely have a very different method for breeding than I do. I spend a lot of time in the generator before I start a project, picking the end results I like best. Sometimes I'll breed a pair a dozen times just to get the ideal baby. But I find the differences in breeders very fascinating!

Aye, it's always interesting seeing how people's preferences are different. I wouldn't be able to stand spending generations with the same set pool of traits, it would get so boring, I'd probably start hating the combination before reaching 6v. This way, even when going through and releasing the fewer-trait midgens there's often a surprisingly beautiful combo hiding in there. :) Total respect for planners, I just personally could never do it.
Which is also the reason I don't do stat-breeding, because that necessarily limits the trait pool and would have the same grow-to-hate-the-design factor.

I don't always stick to the same trait pool. For example, I'm currently breeding 3+ different varieties of Glowing Swamp...it's like having several mini projects in one! ^.^ Plus, I don't have to worry about getting tired of one particular design (I do have to worry about running out of space, though).
I will say that sticking to just one pool of traits is so much easier to breed and takes up less stable space...
I have found that I strongly prefer several traits over others...VV! members have surely noticed that most of my designs incorporate Iridescence and/or G2 Water Sprite. I feel like they're such flexible traits that compliment almost anything. However, I've been trying to branch out more into the paired G1/G2 combos like Koi and African Gecko.
