Rummbo yelped as the light hit his tail, causing it to dissolve. He took a step back, growling loudly at Naelan. He disappeared into the shadows, the sulfurous scent now gone from the area. He reappeared on a completely different island, seemingly out of breath, and also out of patience. He looked at his ghostly tail. It was just a small stub on his behind, now, it would take a while for it to grow back. He looked upwards towards the other islands, as the island he was on was on a much lower level, hidden from all forms of light.
"Just you wait, you puny wolves," Ruumbo said, his voice dark and grim. "I will get what I want, no matter what it takes." He started to walk to a small den, with an evil grin on his face.
"No matter what it takes."

Noriku flopped to the ground. He sighed and looked around, noticing someone was missing.
"Where'd that other shadow wolf go?" He squeaked. "She wasn't mean, like the other one."
The pup got up and walked around, sniffing the undergrowth. Not scenting anything, he whimpered and sat down.
(by the way, I always ping everyone around, just so you all know)

Flux looked past the veil of shadows. She gave a mournful look at the pup, then sniffed around the veil. The scent of Ruumbo flooded her nose, causing her to panic thinking he was close. Flux nervously looked around, but then settled down, not being able to see him.
(So, I was thinking the way shadow powers work is that there's a 'veil' of shadows, and that shadows wolves can move in and out of the veil. The veil, is basically just a copy of the normal world, but only certain wolves can get into it. That could also be how they read wolves minds, the veil opens a connection to the wolves minds and the shadow wolves slip into that. Also, when you're in the veil you can scent the other wolves that are in the veil, no matter how far away they are. Just an idea, but I thought this was cool.)
