he froze up and looked at her. *are you sure?* he asked, disbeliving. his dream would be a reality. he just needed to find Venatine and talk to her.

She nods. "All Vica did was steal something, and that thing wasn't a very big deal to take. It's just Vica can't go completely unpunished for it, since it was still a crime. Hence why Venna's trying to find her."

*she stole something? what did she steal?* he asked, confused.

"You." She replies simply. "Legally speaking, you're Venna's- not Vica's. You were essentially being loaned to her." She stretches languidly. "So, she's a little annoyed with Vica."

his eyes widened in suprise and confused. *ok, hold on. i was Venatines? i didnt know she existed until i got put in the Ether!*

"She was the one who brought you to the Ether, because Vica didn't want to do it. So, that means you were actually hers, even though she gave you to Vica immediately after."

he frowned. *then it shouldnt be Vica taking the punishment. i convinced her to take us out of the Ether. i should take the punishment.* he said, believing it.

"Why?" She tilts her head further.

*for one, its not right. i was the property. i convinced Vica to take me out. i did all the work to get me out. she just opened the way out. and for another...* he blushed and said softly, *i dont want her to be hurt because of me. i would rather die a thousand times over than see her hurt.*

She stares at him for a long moment. Then, with a simple flick of her tail, a gigantic, bible-sized book materializes in her lap. She flips through it, stops at a page, and reads through that page calmly. She soon looks back up. "You can't take the bullet for her. It's not in the law."
