"well that makes one of us" she says poking a hole in her hammock

"aren't you even a little excited? nervous at least?" i ask, peaking over the edge of the hammock to look at her. "free city sounds so interesting! and we just ran across rooftops!" i exclaim, gleefully.

I frown at Maple. I get the feeling whatever happened to her back at the facility, it wasn't good. But still, she should have some fun!

"whats the first thing you're going to do in the city?" i ask "for me? i think it's gonna be getting food. i'm so hungry" i joke, stomach grumbling.

"yeah I'm a little curious, Well about a whole lot of things" she admitted, she smirked a little"yeah I'm starving" she said before her smile faded "I don't know why he wants us to go there he just told me to go, I wanted him to come but he said that she was gonna help him" she admitted sitting up "and I gave him my kitty so I have to go back sooner or later" she said silently

"...i'll help you get him back" i promise "if not for jack himself, then for the cat." i smile over at her.

She smiled at her "thank you" she said softly

"no problem" i tell her, rolling over. after our talk, I'm finally able to fall asleep. pulling the blanket over my head, i bury my head in the threadbare pillow. despite it being worn, it's the most comfortable pillow I've ever slept on.

I place my hand in Caras fur and try to fall asleep

in the morning, we're woken up by a loud boat horn, and i carefully slip out of the hammock, trying not to fall. yawning, i tie my hair up in a pony tail, walking out of the container. we're pulled into a dock, with many similar looking ships surrounding us. the sides of the boats are decorated in all sorts of bright and colorful designs, and it's gorgeous.

Alex walks up beside me, looking proud. "welcome to free city!" she says, gesturing broadly "where no one tells us what to do and everyone is allowed to use there powers however they like" she says, smiling.
