"What were ShadeWings like before?" Ibis asked.

"Why would you oppose having any ability?" Obsidian asked.

"Ah thank you," Rhythm said as she took the statuette and placed it back into Obsidian's bag.
"Don't worry," she addressed to the other Mudwings.
"We won't let her or anybody else die, so you can relax and the air can stop being so threatening."

Coastal rolled her eyes, going back under the surface.

"Mudwings are awfully close to their siblings" Mercury stated "I was very close to my sister too, before, well, nevermind" Mercury said, fidgeting with her silver bracelet.

"I can't read minds. I'm not a NightWing. And no, I have no idea why any dragon would hate my tribe so much. Sure, we had a terrible leader then, but so has every tribe!" Darkness growled. "Before, we were strong. We could breathe dark fire, we could see in the dark, we had innate senses of direction, even our scales were different. But now..." She sighed, her yellow eyes closing for a second. "Now the only powers we have are the killforms, and our eyes the only colors on our tribe. And that's only if a dragon receives the gene for yellow eyes, and that's happening less and less." The ShadeWing opened her eyes and looked up at the darkening sky. "But if I'm going to be honest, maybe we deserved this curse, in their eyes. The power we were most known for depended on the death of others for our own enrichment, and perhaps their thoughts were that if they got rid of so much that made us able to kill, we'd die out as a tribe. And maybe that's what needs to happen to get rid of the Flashing. The first records of it after the Scorching epidemic came right after we first showed up on Pyrrhia."

"So, is it possible that the flashing is a side effect of the creation of Shadewings?" Mercury wondered out loud. "Maybe because the animus enchantment changed so much of a natural species of dragon, the flashing was created as an aftermath of the enchantment put on shadewings" Mercury said, thinking she may Ben on to something "So in other words, the cure for it must be! Umm, I'm not sure, an animus curse doesn't really fix much of this problem" Mercury said, quieting down.

"Maybe to fix an animus mistake, it'll take another animus?" Coastal input her idea in the group. Mercury nodded "but fixing this would undoubtly completely destroy the soul of the dragon who placed or reversed the spell instantly" Mercury said, putting them right back at square one.

"But there's always the possibility that the Shadewings had nothing to do with causing the Flashing, but we can neither prove nor disprove that at our current knowledge," Rhythm interjected.

Delta piped up. "M-Maybe there could be a cure for it? Like a special specific herb? Like a flower or plant?" She spoke nervously. Her amber eyes searching around the group, looking for anything.
"Like from what I heard from an elder, there as a plant that could cure all diseases. But He said it was just a myth. But what if it really existed?"
She spoke nervously, she gave a small smile to 'Coastal'. And then paused in thought

"A magical super-powered healing herb?" Darkness asked, head tilted doubtfully. "Sounds pretty impossible to me."
"I know I, for one, don't want anyone's soul destroyed unless absolutely necessary, so we might as well look for this plant," Blizzard commented, thinking back to the old legends Glace had taught him.

It was time for Rhythm's special tornado of questions and deductions.
"Well, if it's real, where in the world would we even find it?
There's also the fact that we have no idea what it looks like, for all we know it could be a tree's leaf or a weed.
What if it's a nocturnal flower, a sun growing flower, a root of a plant, the bud of a plant, or the petals of a flower?
What if it doesn't even grow in soil, it could grow in rocks, mud, underground, snow, for all we know, it could grow in clouds like magic or on the moons!" Rhythm said excitedly mostly to herself forgetting that there were others around listening.

(I'm thinking that the flashing is animus protected, meaning it can't be directly affected by animus magic, like "I enchant the flashing to be gone forever, or maybe it could be several different types of plants, possibly some enchanted)

Mercury stared at Rhythm, clearing her throat to remind her dragons are listening. "The flashing most likely wouldn't be cured by one plant, it might be several different plants that grow in any of those places... except for clouds, clouds couldn't sustain plant life they're just water vapor" Mercury said, entertaining the idea of the plants growing in those places.

"Wait, really? Clouds are water vapor?" Coastal said from the water, coming back to land. "I thought Skywings created them, it just kinda made sense to me when I was younger" Coastal admitted awkwardly. "I never got to go out or learn much, I never even left my home for most of my life." Coastal said to defend herself.
