She didnt respond to that and just hugged her knees tighter to herself. She didnt want to seem weak, but also didnt care enough anymore.

After awhile, she cried herself to sleep, shrieking from time to time in her sleep because she was dreaming a dream she has had fairly frequently: her parents dying, but she was able to see and understand everything.
