With the no reply, Ariel called to him again. "I'm serious Conner! It is time to come back."

"Oh, fine! No need to chase away all the song birds with your yelling." Conner jumped out of a tree, and shook the leaves out of his hair. Ariel sighed, and helped him get the sticks out of his ruffled wings and hair.

"Now what adventure did you go on through history and lunch?"

"I just dropped off," Conner's voice broke, and he had to hold back a sob. "I dropped off Haka in a mythical creature place. They promised she would be safe. After all, we can't have her charging through the school trying to find me." He sighed.

(He should learn that just because he might be fallen, doesn't mean he has to have no feelings. )

(Yeah, he should, but at the moment he's too stubborn)

Ash was very confused and just about asked what on earth they were talking about, but he didn't. Why? That's a good question. He just didn't

Ariel patted his head, and then smoothed his head. "Ah, you can always meet her, right?"

"Yeah, I suppose so." Conner sighed, and caught her wrist so she wouldn't treat him like a dog any more. Ariel sighed as well, and put her hand by her side again.

Ash finally decided to ask what was going on, so he stood, leaving his lunch where it was and went over to them, asking them what they were talking about

"Oh, Haka, a dire wolf Conner, my brother, has raised...He just had to release it into a place for mystical animals because Haka might run through the halls of the school to reach him. And who knows what the wolf might do." Ariel was doing the talking.

Conner was strangely quiet, but you could tell that he was holding back tears. He was determined not to cry.

Ash nods slowly as Ariel talks. "Yeah, that might not be the best idea to bring a dire wolf to school. Or any kind of wolf, for that matter." He turned to Conner. "I'm sure it will be glad to see you when you visit it." That was the most comforting words he had ever said to anyone, and that was about as good as it was going to get.

"She." Conner immediately corrected, and then bowed his head. "Thanks."

"Sorry. I don't assume gender from a name. I'm sure she'll be ecstatic."

"Oh, it's all right. Most people don't. You're pretty fair as most fallen go." Conner shrugged. Ariel nodded to Conner and Ash, and decided to hang out a minute longer, just in case things got...out of hand.

(It's like Ashes walks up and is like, 'whaza fallen?'...Should I just do that?)
