"Followed us?" Noriku sniffed. "I live alone, why would anyone-"
His breathe caught in his throat and he gasped. He saw the evil glare of the other shadow wolf. Noriku blinked.
"Who are you?" He squeaked, confusion sparking in the pups's wide-eyed stare. "A-are you here to attack me? Both of you?"
Noriku saw the glint in the new wolf's eyes, but at the time he didn't know what it was.
"B-because, i-if you are..." Noriku tried his best to make himself look bigger, standing up and spreading his wings wide. "I-I'll fight back..." But even the pup knew it was useless. They'd take him away, torture him, starve him, then abandon him, leave him alone to fend for himself...

*What?!* Flux looked at the place the pup had looked. There were strange eyes glowing from the darkness. Flux stumbled backward, surprised. *Who are you?!* Flux asked, confused. It seemed like there was another shadow wolf. Flux had never met another shadow wolf, in fact, she didnt think that other shadow wolves existed, the only way she knew what she was was because of her mother.

Flicking his ears back, Noriku let out a small whimper. He turned his head and stared directly into the new wolf's eyes.
"I'd rather be alone than with you. And if you want me to join you so badly," the pup growled, fear swimming in his rebellious gaze, "then make me."
He stood his ground with trembling legs. Noriku kept eye contact.
"You don't know what us normal wolves are made of, and you don't want to," he snarled, forcing a dangerous glare into his eyes to mask the fear.

Kae'rien, Naelan, and Argentfur
Kae'rien roused Argentfur, saying, "I'm going to take you to your mother."

Naelan woke almost as soon as Argentfur stood, and said, "I'm going with you."

"What about Umbra?"

"Jae can watch her."

"O-kay...I guess..."


They left, and Kae'rien soon smelled a pup he didn't recognize, as well as a sharp, sulfurous scent. He lead them toward it, and saw a pair of wolves, black as sable, talking to the pup. Beside him, Naelan's fur stood on end. She seemed to be glowing from the inside.

Naelan leaped out, and said in a vice that was hers, and yet wasn't, "What are you doing to this pup?"

She seemed to have a tail of pure light alongside her normal tail.

Flux glared at Ruumbo. *I am not scared, and I think Ive been fine fending for myself for all of these years. Plus, it seems to me, that if you wanted to make a pack, you shouldnt try and intimidate and get under other wolves fur at the first meeting.* Flux continued to glare at Ruumbo. *I agree with the pup, I am not going to join a pack, especially now that youve threatened me. I dont think you understand how other wolfs minds work if you try and get them to join you by doing things that will specifically get them to hate you. If anything, you should be afraid of me. At least I know whats going on in your head.*

Naelan
Naelan looked at the shadow wolf Ruumbo, and said, "What do you think you're doing, Ruumbo? I thought I told you to stop trying to build a pack! Stand down, or face the light!"

Flux turned around. Another wolf?, she thought. Why were there so many wolves in the same place? Had this wolf been following Ruumbo?

The world was spinning, "scales" she thought "i must be dying, or already dead" ahri hadn't yet been to the falls, who would take the young varg now??? And the cub!it was so young! It didn't even have a name yet!!so it was up to her to name the young she-varg, " i shall name you something alive, to remind you of the varg who still live" something sparked at the edge of her memory "larka, some to remind you that you can still be alive"
