"Huh?!" Sonic exclaimed, trying to wriggle free. "Aww Man! What's the big idea?! Leggo my leg!"
Knuckles remained still a moment. "....Well, I tried..." With that, his eyes snapped open and he forcefully shoved Pearl away, standing up. He flinched as he did and his head swam, but he shook it off. "Now let me do the guarding here while you go help Shadow. He needs it more then I do," He rushed off to rejoin the fight.
