Nicote stopped cussing for a minute. "They want those of us who have something to offer them. They don't care about the rest of the group, they just want the leaders or the people with skills. I think they'll let most of the group go once they get the people they want. You take the younger kids and anyone who wants to go. Get as fast as you can to the building. I'll stay behind with the rest and hold off Avalon, you're in charge if I have to turn myself in. Xan, Ema, go with Diana."

"What?" Bu-"

"Don't argue about it, you and Avalon are a terrible mix." Nicote snapped.

Diana nods once, "Come on everyone. Nicote you be safe and catch up otherwise I'm going to chase you down and drag you back. Please please be careful."

Xan agreed with Diana. On the "be careful" part.

"Don't worry about me. I think I've still got a few lives left, I can't have burned through all nine lives." Nicote said half-jokingly, gently shoving Xan and Ema towards Diana. "And if I do, you have my permission to use me as your personal slave for a week."

Diana raises an eyebrow, "If I have to go save you I'll need more then a week."

"Just go." Nicote was d his h a skywards. "And fast before Avalon gets here."

Diana starts to herd the others towards the building.

Nicote turned around and watched Avalon coming closer.

They surrounded the group, excluding Diana
