Noriku jerked his head up. He was panting, tongue lolling out of his mouth. He was trembling. Gingerly, he got up onto his paws and shook out his fur. Noriku hadn't had the best sleep last night. He noticed his mouth was dry and walked on shaky paws to 'his' stream. He lapped at the cool and refreshing water. It woke him up, and he came to his senses.
Noriku sniffed the air around him, scenting something strange. It smelled of wolf, all right, but it had a sour taste to it. He thought nothing of it, and looked around his clearing. There were always berries here. A glint of red flashed in the pup's eyes and he trotted forward. Before he could get to the bush, he saw an unusual green.
Noriku shuddered and turned to stare at it. He narrowed his eyes. The eyes of a wolf. And not like one he'd seen before. The wolf was was all black and wispy. It looked as it the smallest breeze could knock it right off its paws.

Flux stared at the pup standing in front of her. She wondered what he was thinking, whenever she controlled some wolf she took over their thoughts, she always controlled their thoughts, but she never got to experience their personality. Sometimes she felt bad for that, but most of the time they were trying to kill her, so that kind of leveled it out.

Noriku stared back. He whimpered once, tucking his tail in between his legs and bracing his muscles, getting ready to flee if he needed to.
"Who are you?" Noriku stuttered. "W-what are you?"
He shifted his large wings to spread out. The pup tried to make himself as big as he could, but, obviously, it wasn't working in his favor.
He took one step back, then another, while he waited for a response.

Flux took a step back. Of course wolves had asked her this before, but every time she responded, theyd attack her. Still, she wanted to try again.
*Im a shadow wolf.* Flux responded, a slight tremor in her voice. She didnt want to kill a pup.

Noriku tried to make himself seem as unthreatening as he could. Why would this wolf be scared of him? Him, out of all wolves!
"Shadow wolf..." Noriku mumbled. "Never heard of them..."
He glanced around, looking for a possible escape rout.
"Soooo... who are you?"

*Um, my name is Flux.* Flux replied nervously. *Shadow wolves have different powers....* Flux didnt want to reveal too much, in case she scared the pup and caused him to flee. *Why are you alone out here? Shouldnt you be with your parents?*

Noriku flattened his ears and looked at his paws.
"Parents," he mumbled. "I..."
The pup was at a loss for words. He sat down, thought for a moment. Thought about his parents.
That tipped Noriku over the edge. He collapsed, tears streaming down his face. He covered his muzzle with his paws, trying to calm himself. Mother would be disappointed. That made him even more upset.

Flux shifted her attention. Something was lurking in the shadows. Flux sniffed, trying to catch a whiff of somethings scent. A tangy something wafted into her nose, Flux turned her eyes to the place the scent was coming from, but could find nothing.
*Do you know if anything has followed us here?* Flux asked the pup.
