"No I'm not, he's not, she not, the Indians aren't. Non of us here are human at lest not fully," Maggie said.

"Mine might be a tad different," she said.

July grabbed her arm pulling away some. "I don't want to hurt you..." He said suddenly.

"Like how?" Maggie said looking at her out from under her hat.

"Like, well, sometimes I can be controlled by my mother, a witch, that killed, my father," she said her voice cracking.

Pepper sighed "July the only way you could ever hurt me is to die or give me back to the life you saved me from." Pepper said moving closer and resting her head on his chest.

"So your a witch?" Maggie said sitting up putting her hat back on her head. "That cool. I'm the daughter of a god like being, The Ones Before as you call them. That allows me to gamble what ever is on the other side of that door."

July hugged her close careful with his new arm. "I just don't want to leave you alone, that's all. With all that's going on I was thinking that maybe it was a good time to-to start a family? That way if I was to die, at least you would still have a part of me with you at all times..."

Pepper reached up and gently rested a hand on his cheek "that sounds nice." She said looking at him with tired eyes she rested her head on his lap and lay down looking at the stars "but I won't let you die, you won't be able to escape that easy" Pepper said smiling up at him and bringing her hand down to rest on his arm.

July smiled down at her. "The fires getting a bit low, how about you and me go get a bit more firewood? Let's leave those two to talk about whatever." He said smiling at her so she would catch his drift.

Pepper nodded and smiled back "ok" she grunted as she hauled herself to her feet. She stretched a little "let's go then before it gets too dark." She said

"Well...sort of. My father was a human and because of that is the only way I can be around you without hurting you. But i can sometimes resist her control, but not usually. I'm afraid of hurting you."
