your snares have caught a bird.

I roast the bird and look for more plants or meat to eat after resetting the traps
I also look for a slightly bendy branch, around my height, and strong vines

you don't find anything you can identify. you find some bendy branches and some vines.

I attempt to bend them into bows, and look for arrow sticks and a target

he looks up at you and then drops his head. he lets you get close and even pet him.

Offer him some food and stroke his head

when you get there the baby bird has woken up it claps happily when it sees you
