"maybe we could throw sand in the water?" Gabriel suggests, sweeping some sand in the water. it forms a big cloud, resting in the water for a bit before settling at the bottom of the tank. before i can suggest anything else, i hear the familiar click of Angela's heels on the tile, as well as a new pair of footsteps.

"- i can't just let you do that, i mean we just took them in they've only been here a few days and they haven't even acclimated to the place yet!" she says, holding the door open for a large man in a champagne colored suite. "i presume you've applied to have your license renewed, yes?" he asks her, nonchalantly. "yes?" Angela answers, thought it sounds more like a question than anything. "well then, i'll just have to deny your renewal for noncompliance." he says, adjusting his gold tie. "if it's the money you're worried about, rest assured i will have new mer placed at your facility within the week"

Tenebris jolts at the new human's arrival. "Um..... guys? Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but he looks like bad news." He hisses quietly to the others.

"yeah" i nod, shifting nervously. "well i'm sure that won't be necessary, what time do you think these new mer will be here?" she asks, smiling nervously. "as i said, they will be here within the week" he says, strutting over to the tank to peer in at us.

Nella was confused but got the point "there selling us" she says at them "or there gonna run creepy test on us and create mutants before killing us" she insisted turning around "we need to get out of here and fast" she tried looking around for the nearest way out "we might have to go threw the filter it's our only way to freedom of we don't leave now then we are most likely never gonna see our home again"

"we cant fit through that, its only the size of my arm" Gabriel says, gesturing to it. i quickly rush to scoop up Hana, holding her and Gabriel close to me. they're not going to split us up, are they!?

the man in the suit has his back turned to us, now, speaking with her in a language i can't understand. he gestures back towards us, pulling out a notebook and writing something down before tearing it off and handing it to her. Angela takes the note, folding it up and tucking it in her breast pocket.

Nella puffed up her chest and went up to her "so now your selling us?" She asked her, you could obviously see the pain in her eyes, she wanted to be back home "there isn't something in the water is there?" She asked, she wished humans wasn't so greedy at this point, she now knew there was absolutely no way to get out, she has officially lost all hope, she slipped back into the water and leaned against the glass "welp this is our new home now" she insisted

the man turns, and i tense up, ready to fight as he walks up to the glass again, placing his hand on it. "you're not being sold, you're just being relocated to my estate - for free." he says, grinning. i shrink back, dragging Hana and Gabriel with me.

Malis glares and said with a growl, "That's basically means we were sold to you," Nana had a shock look on her face.

"hmm, i suppose it does" he concedes, nodding "at least you'll be out of this enclosure, i know you want out" he says, gesturing to the intake we tried to clog. "thats the first thing all the mer go for, we installed an anti clogging system for specifically that reason" he informs us, stepping back. "well, i'll go finalize your transportation, and then we'll be off" he turns heel, saying something to Angela in the other language and guides her out of the visitors center.

Malis growls some more. "Great we were sold to a rich man," Malis said darkly to the others.
