Silence, no reply. The lamp was lit by a candle, and it burned brightly, throwing a halo of light outwards over a small area, but beyond that, everything was pitch black. It may have been your mind, but... Is that a child's laughter you hear coming from upstairs?

I tak the candle out of it's stand and head up stairs toward the laughter. Once up stairs I try to locate whre I heard the laughtr from.

Yes, indeed, this should be it. You stood there looking at the house and noticed that there was a small light coming from between the cracks of the broken front doors.


From the look of this place there certainly shouldn't be anyone hear, intrigued they head to go knock on the door.

The door is unlocked, and opens silently. Inside is the same type of room as yours and Emily's, a person, a man, is sitting on the bed facing away from you, and they seemed to be crying. They wore a beige cap and a ruffled pair of shirt and pants along with a small jacket. Next to them on the bed was a flashlight.

"sir? are you alright?" I call out cautiously.

I turn around and go looking for the lantern

The candle wouldn't budge out of its stand, so you took the entire lamp with you.

Once on the second landing, you find a pair of broken down but still majestic double doors, a hallway stretching out forwards from where you were, and a hallway stretching out to the left. The hallways were lined with doors, and the laughter seemed to come from the second door on the left in the hallway stretching out forwards from you.

The doors creak open from the force of your knocks. There seemed to be nobody home, but there was still the light.

Speaking of the light, it came from a lamp sitting on the banister of some old grand staircase leading to the second landing, and when you looked around the first landing, there were a pair of double doors to your right and to your left.

"N.. no, Kreacher is not okay..." They sniffed, turning around. "W.. who are you? Why are you in my room? You're d.. definitely not Miss Woods."
