"Probably." He replied. "He stinks when I wake up."

Shadowstar sighs.
"He can't be doing that, not with our current predicament. Maybe he's meeting an apprentice from another Clan, but... maybe he isn't. I don't know."
He looked around, then mewed, "I want you to watch him closely tonight. If he tries to get away, come and find me. I'll find out why he seems to be sneaking out."

"Okay." He mewed.

When Swiftpaw went to his nest, he pretended to sleep. Sparrowpaw also began to sleep. Sparrowpaw got out of his nest, and looked at Swiftpaw, making sure he was asleep. He was not. But Sparrowpaw thought he was, so he left his nest. Goldenhawk was waiting for him. They quietly left the camp. Swiftpaw followed.
"So we are going to that place again?" Sparrowpaw asked.
"Yes." Goldenhawk replied. "It's good training."
Good training? Swiftpaw thought.
"But we have to pay in prey." Sparrowpaw reminded his mentor.
"Don't worry." Goldenhawk said. "I caught a rabbit on WindClan territory around sunhigh. They didn't catch me."
Swiftpaw followed them some more, but he didn't realize he left ShadowClan Territory.

Haze left the BloodClan camp, ready for her "apprentices". Just in time, Goldenhawk and Sparrowpaw appeared. "So you caught a rabbit this time?" She meowed.
"You don't want it?" Sparrowpaw asked.
"It's fine." She said, beginning to dig in.
"What's for today?" Goldenhawk asked.
"I'll teach you this move." Haze said. Thus, the training began, with Swiftpaw watching.

Swiftpaw continued watching, as Goldenhawk and Sparrowpaw listened to Haze. He ran across a Thunderpath to watch them, but accidentally stepped on some Twoleg rubbish. This smells! He thought. But that was the last thing he needed to worry about.
Haze turned around, and glared at the apprentice. Swiftpaw stared back. "What are you doing here?" She growled.
"That's my brother!" Sparrowpaw hissed. "We can't let him go back to ShadowClan!"
"It's fine." Haze said calmly. "We can't let him leave here alive. I'll bring him to Claw myself. We can't let him know I've been training Clan cats."
"Okay." Goldenhawk said. They began to return to camp. "Roll yourself in ferns to hide the scent."

Swiftpaw entered the camp with Haze behind him.
"Hey Claw." Haze growled. "Caught this little Clan cat spying on us."

(Well, we all know the name Swiftpaw is cursed...)
Shadowstar had followed close behind, actually silent. What he didn't realize is that he had a larger grey tabby also following him. Then Jayhawk padded up beside him, saying, "You will never see that apprentice again."
Shadowstar mews back, "Oh, I will. I'm going in."
Then he looks over at Jayhawk and realizes who this cat's father was.
"I propose a truce. I need your help to get that apprentice back. Meanwhile, you will get a chance to deal with your father. The cat that rap ed your mother is none other than Claw himself. My brother."
(Because yeah, Jayhawk is a product of ra pe.)
Jayhawk looks down at the little black cat, then sighs, "Fine."
And with that they padded into the open.
Shadowstar looked so much like Scourge that some of the older BloodClan cats actually thought it was their old leader returned from the grave.

Meanwhile, Claw was padding around Swiftpaw, sniffing him. Then he meowed, "Haze, he smells too much like you to have just been caught. You brought him from a considerable distance.
Then a commotion could be heard. Cats Seemed to think Scourge had returned.
Then Shadowstar and Jayhawk padded into view and Claw was left staring in shock.

Swiftpaw looked at Claw, hiding the fact he was extremely terrified.
"He's scared, can't you tell?" Haze growled. "Didn't need to pull him or anything."
"Y-yea... I'm not scared of you!" Swiftpaw hissed as loud as he could.
"Not buying it." Haze said.
Swiftpaw unsheathed his claws, turned around and hissed at the big silver tabby. Haze stared at the apprentice.

Meanwhile, back at camp, Flower, Rain and Cinder were sleeping in the Medicine Cat Den. Flower and Rain were sleeping peacefully, but Cinder was clearly having nightmares.
In his dream, Cinder was walking around Highstones, the only home he knew well.
"Let's play hide and seek!" Rain said.
"OK!" Cinder happily mewed. "I'll be the hunter!"
"Don't go far kits." Flower purred.
"Okay!" Rain and Cinder said happily.
Cinder closed his eyes, while Rain looked for a place to hide. When Find opened his eyes, the beautiful newleaf day became a bloody leaf-bare night. Cinder had trouble walking in the snow. Cinder didn't know what leaf-bare was.
Cinder crossed the Thunderpath, and was walking near RiverClan territory. Time seemed to be frozen.
Suddenly, time unfroze, and an entire group of cats with teeth in their collars attacked Cinder. Cinder saw an silver tabby she-cat standing nearby, away from the fighting. "I'll get you." She growled. Some RiverClan cats attacked the cats. An silver tabby she-cat, similar to the other one, picked up Cinder by his scruff and began running away.
"Who are you?" Cinder asked terrified. But she didn't answer. She began running towards highstones, but they got hit by a monster.
Cinder woke up, yowling in pain, but he wasn't actually injured. He decided to leave the Den.
Cinder looked at the moon. Frostwhisker, who was guarding the camp, looked behind her. She knew he was upset, but said nothing. Cinder looked around, relieved that the nightmare was over. He began heading back into the Den.
"Are you alright Cinder?" Featherpaw asked, after being woken up by Cinder's yowls.
"No..." He mewed, terrified.
Featherpaw knew he was shaking. "What's wrong? Scared of something?"
"It... was... nightmare... red moon... blood... cats... fighting... that... she-cat..."
"Please calm down." Featherpaw mewed. "So it was a nightmare?"
"Yes..." Cinder said.
"Do you want some poppy seeds? They can help you sleep."
"No!" Cinder growled. "I don't want more nightmares!"

Shadowstar padded up next to Swiftpaw and said, "Claw, I will be taking this apprentice back with me. And don't try to stop me. You could never beat me, even when we were kits. Now,if you will excuse me, there's a cat here who very much would like to meet his daddy."
Shadowstar turns to leave, guiding Swiftpaw away as Jayhawk pads up, bigger than his father by a considerable margin.
He growled, "Remember that she-cat you rap ed way back when Scourge tried to lead you into the forest -and failed?"
Claw snarled at him, but it was a yes.
"I'm the result of that. I thought it was the Clans that failed my mother, ShadowClan most of all, but now I see. It was you who caused this. So I will kill you. Right here, right now."

Meanwhile, Longfur had just woken in a cold sweat having received a vision from StarClan. He looked around for a moment, then calmed before looking at Featherpaw.
"You had a dream, didn't you?"

"I have a question for you, Shadowstar." Haze growled. "Have you seen a she-cat who looks like me? I'm looking for her."

Cinder looked at Featherpaw.
"Tell him, Cinder." Featherpaw said.
"Okay." Cinder mewed. "I had a dream... No... A nightmare. I was playing with Rain... And suddenly... The sky turned dark red... And I wandered somewhere... And then cats with collars started attacking me... A silver tabby she-cat said "I'll get you"... But then a group of cats began attaching them.. and a silver tabby she-cat who looked like the other one saved me..."
"A silver tabby she-cat?" Flower interrupted. "And we're you near a river?"
"Y-yes." Cinder mewed.
"Isn't that Silverheart?" Flower meowed. "Her mother is from BloodClan. She looks almost exactly like her mother. She ran away when she was a young kit."

Shadowstar looked back at Haze saying, "Here are a lot of cats that look like you.'
Off to the side Jayhawk and Claw were fighting. Claw had longer claws but Jayhawk was winning.

Longfur said, "I saw an ocean of blood. I was on the shore, which was scattered with bones. Cat bones."

Haze growled and said, "Your not helpful." She left and began to search the cat she hated... Silverheart

Flower looked at Longfur and meowed, "An ocean of blood? Cat bones? Are we a threat somehow?"
"No, probably not." Featherpaw mewed. "There's something I would like to ask you. Rain is double the size of Cinder. They aren't siblings, no?"
"No." Flower meowed. "I found him alone."
"I have a feeling... A bad one..." Featherpaw looked at Longfur. "Cinder may be related to this threat."

Longfur said, "Last time there was a vision of blood like mine, BloodClan invaded. Shadowstar must be told. And either way, Cinder has something to do with this."
(Let's see if I've got this straight. Cinder is Haze's kit.)
Shadowstar urged Swiftpaw to hurry back to camp, saying, "I think we have our answer, then."
