Knuckles stood up, stretched, and yawned once more. He glanced down at the apple Sonic had flung at him, shrugged, picked it up, and started eating it. That's when he remembered he hadn't eaten since yesterday morning, as well as how hungry he was.

"Drill?" Rookie perked up. He trotted over to one of the supply crates and opened it up, pulling out a Yellow Wispon with a pointed tip. He tested the weight, nodded in satisfaction, then pulled one of two triggers, causing the tip to spin rapidly with a Whirrrrrr...... "Will this work?"
