Aaron shook her head. She was trying to come back to herself. She took a deep breath then looked up. "Mmm... I'd like to see their bodies on the floor... but, I s-suppose you are right. They aren't worth it." She said. She took another deep breath and dug her nails into her thigh. It was clearly hard for her to walk away while so riled up. When she finally straightened up again, and moved her hand, several tears were in the cloth of her pants and a slight red tint laid beneath it. She turned and began to walk away, mumbling frustrated nonsense.

He followed, noticing. How often did she make herself bleed? He began to ramble, trying to get her spirits up. "I agree with you, the stupid Fifty-Niners and the Skulls deserve to die. If you asked the Fifty-Niners why they called themselves that, its how many people they killed during the Summer of Slaughter before they got sent down. There are fifteen of them so you do the math. They claim to have been one of the biggest gangs in the capital, east of the river. Don't believe it myself, though. They weren't big enough to take on the Skulls when they got here, just arranged some kiss-ass pact where they both control the gym. Ask me, fifty-nine is their combined IQ."

Aaron looked back at him. "Sorry, I just don't think I can talk right now." She said. She closed her eyes for a minute then looked around.

"Thanks." Shade said, appreciating the help.

He was fine with that. He kept talking. "They let a handful of people in to use the equipment, including yours truly. But nobody else gets in. They use it for cards and organized skirmishes. Floor in there is permanently red, if you follow me."

"Anytime!" Riley says, smiling.

Aaron nodded. It made sense. She sighed. She rubbed her hand. It was now she was processing what she had almost done. She nearly snapped, again. She was lucky that Jack had been able to stop her, but what if she hadn't been stopped. She wrinkled up her nose and sat down, shaking her head.

Shade smiled back, that kind smile that he saved only for Riley.
