"Yeah, me too..." Ash muttered, staring at her again.

Ash opened his mouth to speak but then a voice came from somewhere in the trees. "Hi, princess. Sorry I'm late, traffic was a mother trucker." Ash immediately drew his sword, turning to face the voice.

Random explosions.

Explosions meet her, plus a tall stack of papers.

There's not a peep from her as things explode

Raven was a little confused.. she wouldn't of contacted Sawyer, mostly because she knew that if she did she would be leaving him quite fast.

And papers lfy. In her face.

And yet, somehow, Sawyer had found his way to them. "Hello, Ash." Sawyer smiled gleefully as he sauntered out of the trees into view. His gaze met Raven's and he raised a sardonic eyebrow. "And what, may I ask, are you doing with Raven?"
Ash said nothing, just took Raven's hand with his free hand. Sawyer chuckled, circling them like a hungry shark. Ash moved with him, keeping his body between her and Sawyer. "Get out of our way, Sawyer."
Sawyer immediately sobered. "Oh, I don't think so."
Ash went rock still, his muscles coiling beneath his skin, the tension lining his back.
"Come on, Ash." Sawyer leaned against a tree and crossed his arms. "You have two choices here. Leave Raven alone, or die with her."
"No," he whispered. "There is one more." Sawyer's eyebrows shot up as Ash repointed his sword at him. For a moment, there was absolute silence. "Get out of the way, Sawyer," Ash growled. "Move, or I'll kill you."
Sawyer's face changed. In one instant it went from arrogant, condescending and evilly smug to something completely alien and terrifying. He pushed himself from the tree, his eyes gleaming with predatory hunger, and slowly took out his daggers.
