I carefully watch the oyster for a moment, pondering to myself how I can get it to open up. I swim closer, close enough to brush off some of the attached sea life and touch its shell. Before waiting for a response from the oyster, I move my hand closer to where its mouth is.

I pause for a moment to stare at the oyster. When it doesn't react, I pout and swim to the front of it. After some thought, I pull out my bag. I gently knock on the oyster's shell, then pull out a handful of my stored leapus candies in offering to it. I point to the candy, then to the oyster, then give in a thumbs up in hopes of it understanding.
Anju and Rowan just stare in confusion.
'It may not be a Vulp, but maybe it would appreciate a gift all the same,' I think to myself.
