Another growl, louder this time

The wine filled her mouth, flooding her senses. It tasted of nothing and everything. It tasted of twilight and mist, moonlight and frost, emptiness and longing. Robbie was tying a bandage around her leg. It was impossible to remember him cleaning or dressing the wound, as if it had never happened

She follows the noise, literally shaking with anger.

It was a feeling she'd never gotten before. It was overwhelmingly strange. "...Robbie, when did you...? "

Something that sounded like snapping teeth sounded quite close

"There," Robbie said, straightening up. "Thats done. At least your leg wont fall off." His eyes swept up to hers, anxious and assessing. "Howre you feeling, princess?"

She turns to face the sound.

She looked down at her leg. " Better. Thank you. "

The only thing she sees is the creature scuttling across the floor away from her, melting into the shadows

Robbie nodded tossed the bloody towel onto the floor and plopped onto a footstool. He sighed. "I was hoping it wouldn't come to this. My fault, I suppose. I shouldn't have left you alone today."

She runs after it.
