The Port Official simply smiled and you headed off, the boat tied up to the dock waiting for you. You would have to actually recruit a few sailors, though

You can use your skills anywhere, don't worry. You use the skill sail handling and the sail automatically went up so the wind was blowing against it, speeding the ship up. The sail moved with the wind, giving the best result. After several days journey, there were reports of something being stuck in the propeller behind the ship.

Angelica took up the three timber and chirped happily, "Thank you~" she seemed to regain her smile after frowning after you'd joked about her eyes, she disliked her eyes greatly. You handed over 180 gold and had 327 left. Or so ivy thinks. Will check later.

Ivan wondered where one could hire a few seaworthy folk. He decided to ask around.

Lots of them, mainly basics and a few intermediate, but no advanced as far as you could see, were collecting around the docks to be hired.

Ivan didn't know who to talk to first. Most of them looked sea able, but he'd prefer people who don't try to mutiny.

The more advanced the sailor was, the less likely they were to mutiny. Another way was by building up trust and reputation, or having something to stop mutiny such as a musical instrument or fancy (gormeythingy whatever) food.

Ivan looked around. "If I want a crew, I might as well start out from the beginning." he said. He wanted to find the most inexperienced sailors at the port.

You found some sailors that were inexperienced, they were basic sailors and could be bought for 50 gold.

Ivan tried to remember how many sailors he needed. He thinks the minimum was three, but he'd hire five, just to be sure.
