Sonic tilted an ear after finishing off the last of the illusions. "What are you talking about, creep?"
Knuckles, on the other hand, growled his suspicion, uninterested in what the Jackal had to say and more interested in joining fist to face. There was another tremor, and the echidna glanced nervously at the Emerald behind him. Hang in there...
"Well, the angry one should know why this is occurring. He read through the documents, correct?" Infinite continued.
Knuckles narrowed his eyes and snarled. He went in for the attack. "Lies. All lies and information that can't be proved. Information that disagrees with itself," he replied sharply, fangs barred.
That wasn't entirely true, however; there was something mentioned in the documents he didnt want to believe, though he knew it was probably true. And the situation with the Emerald proved it.
He sprang up and delivered a powerful blow, spurs clicking against the red gemstone embedded in the jackal's chest. His vision blurred and he felt dizzy for a moment upon contact, and Infinite used the opportunity to deal a few lightning fast strikes. Knuckles slid back in the dirt, one hand clutched to his forehead.
