"It's nothing! It just tells you how to keep my figurines clean," insisted Obsidian, clutching the bag to his chest. Maybe he should just fly away. He would have probably left already, if it weren't for the familiarity of the dragons and the mention that he might be one of them. One of what? he wondered. He decided to rethink his choice. If he was going to stay with them-they would offer protection from IronWings- he should not be so hostile. He pulled the piece of paper out of the bag again. "Fine. You can see the stupid paper." His attempts at being friendly seemed to be failing.
((It has the prophecy written on it, as well as a note to Obsidian from his mother that is mostly illegible))

"Coastal, right? c'mere, I'll help you read this" Mercury said, skimming through it. She gave it a confused look, but helped Coastal read the whole thing out. Coastal mentally repeated the words to herself, matching them with each letter on the piece of paper. "There's something else here, but I can't read it, the writing is really messy, sorry" Mercury apologized, handing the paper back.
"So, is it some sort of prophecy?" Coastal asked. "I heard about a prophecy, maybe that's it?" Coastal said. Mercury nodded. "Most likely." She replied. Coastal stepped in place for a few seconds, looking at her talons. "So, can you teach me how to read? Like, by drawing and writing in the sand?" Coastal asked. Mercury nodded happily, she loved feeling wanted. Her and Coastal went a few paces away from the rest of the group, Mercury began teach Coastal the basics of reading.

Rhythm silently creeped up to behind the male Ironwing to see what they were crowding around. It was a bag filled with miscellaneous objects, trinkets, parchments, and animated dragon figurines from every tribe that were moving of their own volition.
Wait, what?!!!
"Strange. I didn't know that inanimate objects could move as if they were of the living... And another odd thing, some of the figurines look like some of us," she inquired out loud, likely startling the male Ironwing.

Hearing this, Coastal came running over, not bothering to ask before she peered into the bag, pulling out the figurine that resembled her. She breathed a silent sigh of relief when she realized it had updated to her current appearance. "So cute! It's a tiny me!" She exclaimed excitedly. "What, does this mean I'm really part of the prophecy?" Coastal asked, somewhat alarmed. "But that can't be right, I'm a hybrid, though I usually identify myself as a Sandwing, it shouldn't be possible!" She said, placing the figurine on her back, she paced along the beach, staring at the water, then clutching the Sand under her talons.

"Hey, the SandWing one changed! It looks more like a SeaWing now!" Obsidian exclaimed. Why did my mother have a prophecy hidden in this bag? Why do these dragons look like my toys? Obsidian went over to where Coastal was teaching Mercury to read. "Can you read it to me? And maybe you could teach me, too?"
Ibis went over to inspect the figurines, looking for the RainWing one. It did look like her! She looked for one that looked like Monsoon, but there was only one RainWing.
"Wait a minute..." said Ink in a skeptical tone. "Have you been spying on us? How else would you know what we look like?"
"I've just met you!" replied Obsidian. "These were left behind by my mother, she gave them to me as a present."

Darkness looked into the bag as well. The darkest-looking of the figures caught her eye, and she gently pulled it out. Every detail, the tail fins, the small darkened patch behind her left eye, even the little swirling mark under her right forefoot, they all matched. "This is incredible," she said, not looking up.

"Do you know where your mother got them?" Ink asked, trying to be helpful, even though he wasn't that interested in the figurines.
"I think she made them," Obsidian replied.

Mercury cleared her throat, picking up the paper and reading it aloud.
"Your time of peace was long and kind,
Now other threats you will find.
Entering your island dear,
They will not simply disappear.
Dragons new and dragons old
Shall reunite to help remold
Running, leaping, flying high,
They shall return to you the sky.
A dragon of the darkest death,
Shall fight unto her final breath.
Wings of earth and wings of stone,
Shall unite to heal the final bone.
Beneath the ocean blue and green,
To the west, of pale sheen,
Above the mountains dark and red,
and to the edge are two unsaid.
And finally, to join the wing,
a dragon born to race the brink,
And a dweller of the desert dear,
shall find a way to live through fear.
Although the sickness comes from afar,
We cannot look up to the stars
For salvation shall come of our own,
And forever on they shall be known." Mercury folded it up, handing it back to Obsidian. "That's what it said" She told him.
"Well, I have changed recently, being in the water has helped me develop more like a Seawing" Coastal told them. "It even helped more of my Sandwingness grow, it's incredible what embracing both halves of you can do!" Coastal said, hoping no one noticed the huge differences.

Rhythm reached into the bag and felt around for the one dragon that didn't have wings. She found the Bursting figurine and inspected its likeliness. Her eyes wandered some to the Rainwing figure, if it weren't for the fact that the Burstwing was wingless and that it had Burstwing-like qualities, it almost looked as if some of the physical features on the two dragons figurines were of the same tribe.
"The similarities of the figurines to the dragons present is almost frightening. The animation also reeks of magic...
Say now that I think about it, Ibis said something about dreaming about us before she met us and now enchanted dragon figurines of prophecy dragonets appear. I wonder...
Ibis, did your dreams show you locations of the others? And Obsidian, how much do you know about your mother?
This may be a bit personal, but those who have had experience, knowledge, or somebody die of the Flashing, raise your right forearm, " Rhythm said as she rose her right forearm.

Coastal and Mercury both raised their right arms, looking to each other in sympathy. Mercury had never realized how much larger Coastal was than her. Mercury quickly turned her head away, avoiding eye contact with the rest of the group. Mercury was starting to realize that almost all of the dragons here were part of the special prophecy, she had no place among them. Though, if she did stay, she could write the most brilliant story about their adventures and the heros being the dragons in front of her. Mercury stood in a state of debating with herself, wondering if she should stay or should she go.
