A call later and an ambulance show up. The cops do as well to get everyones statements, check the camera footage, and charge the guy with assault, disturbing the peace, trespassing, breaking and entering, and more charges. Overall, hes going to prison after the hospital.

The nurses checked Echo out and said shes ok if she doesnt do anything too hard for a few days. She has some scrapes and bruises, but is pretty much ok.

Alex then ran at her and hugged her. *are you ok? Are you hurt?* he asked, worried.

"I'm okay Alex. I have a few scrapes and bruises but I am pretty much okay besides the fact I can't do anything to hard for a few days," Echo says.

He nodded. *come on, back inside.* he said, taking your hand. *Matt - the homeless guy - has something to say to you.*

Echo nods her head. She takes Alex's hand and walks inside.

They see Matt talking to a bunch of children and eating the pizza. His daughter is surrounded by hastily wrapped presents and food, mostly cupcakes. The little girl thanks everyone kindly who gives her a present, and gives them a hug. And no one turns down hugs.

Echo smiles at that.

Its a very happy place.

Echo contuine to walk towards Matt.

Matt looked up. *oh, hello, kind lady. I have something to give you.* he began fishing around in his pockets before pulling out a small wooden ring. *i whittled this myself earlier after you gave me money. I hope you like it.*

Echo smiles and gently grabs the ring. "I like it and thank you," Echo says.
