Surprised, I turn around.

There is a small whispy girl. She has dark black hair that is in braids and cat ears. She is crying what looks like blood.

I'm a bit freaked out, but I make my face stay calm. "Hello, do you need help or something? Are you okay?"

"What did you do too my tree?" she asks, confused.

"Oh, it was your tree! I'm so sorry!" I exclaim, feeling a bit bad that I took the lights down. I dig around in my bag and take them all back out. "Here, have them back. I'm really sorry, I didn't know it was your tree!"

"Please help me put them back up," she begs. She hurries back and lovingly strokes the one remaining light.

I hurry around, putting them back the way I remember they were before, trying to put them in the exact same order to make her happy.

She claps her hands in happiness. "Thank you!" You see a bright flash and in front of you is now a much more solid looking female child. "It's a good thing you didn't pull that last one. This tree is my life force."
