Tala trotted along with her nose to the ground, her tail swishing happily in a very non-lupora like manner. She was after all ten generations captive and had picked up on some very dog like tendencies.
Her collar made her stand out sharply against the grey world around her, easier for her human to find her she supposed though she wasn't fond of the smell that still lingered about it even after two years.

She was a good tracker, very good indeed. She sometimes liked to joke that she could actually smell colour, though what she was really picking upon was the constant nervous tension that coloureds always seemed to have. In fact she was picking up that very scent right now...

Shadow smiled and looked around carefully. She watched closely then slipped in the shadows

She snickered some. "Cats? I haven't any pets, merely friends from the forest is all as Altair is to me." She said sipping her own cup of tea. "As for color there's not much, a few specks of dirt here and one maybe two lightbulb though most are near burning out." She said liking up at the flickering light above her. Any day now it would be gone, sadly then all would be thrown into a sad grey gloom yet again.

Again he returned to the humans with a prized colored though it was a shard of glass he brought. This made them angry, caused them to yell and beat him before sending him away to find more. Now limping he returned to the woods to try and find Shadow. Where could she be?

Shadow ran back to the den. She needed to stay safe so she entered the den to hide.

Theon finished his tea and set the empty cup down beside him.
"Well then, enjoy it as much as you can while you still have it."
He paused to consider whether what he was considering saying might give away too much but then decided it couldn't do any harm.

"My father was a gardener on a wealthy estate in the capital. Before I began to loose my vision I would work with the topiaries and my father would tend to the flowers. When he found out I would most likely go blind, he decided to switch with me so I could spend as much time as possible surrounded by colour. We were lucky enough to work with some coloured flowers. And... though I know there is no way I will ever see them again I can still appreciate them now because I took the time to enjoy them to the fullest..."
Theon could feel himself tearing up at the memories and blinked away the tears. It wasn't the flowers that he was crying over, as much as he missed them he would never have cried about that.
"Sorry I... I don't know why I do this to myself. I just miss him is all..."

Theon was fully aware how vulnerable he was being around someone so new but, for some reason he didn't mind so much.

She sat her own cup aside before walking over to him and pulling a chair up next to him. Carefully she placed a hand on his. "It's alright, it's better to get it all out. The worse kind of sickness is that one causes themselves you know. I know all to well what it feels like to have lost someone close, though unlike most I have done it not twice but three times." The woman smiled slightly before explaining. "I lost my mother when I was young as she was protecting me for my father whom was a horrible man. He came at us with a knife one day and killed mother right before me. Years went on that I lived with his drunken ways before I finally took matters in my own hands. A few leaves of a nightshade and he never woke up. Being too young to live alone I moved into a home with a very nice couple who couldn't have kids of their own. They were like the family I never hand though when the color started to fade away they both offed themselves one night. I chose then never to let anyone close since everyone around me seemed to just die off. That was until I met him. His name was Garret and he was a looker. Every woman was after him, I mean every one of them but he took a dance to me more than them. We went out together and such for years though nothing ever really happened between us. We were friends more than anything. Then one day he just up and left for the girl next door, leaving me alone to rot for all he cared. I don't know if I willll ever be able to be happy like I was back then." She fell silent for a moment. "But enough of me and my sad stories. I don't want to depress you."

With no luck he returned to the den they had found to find Shadow there. "Shadow! What's the matter you seem as if you have seen a ghost!"

Shadow smiled weakly. She was scared that she was going to get hunted down but now she felt safe.

He approached her. "Shadow please, what wrong?" He asked looking about the den. No one else seemed to be here. Maybe she was just tricking him?
