"Floyd it's not because you're a burden that you aren't going; it's because of your picture being on so many posters. That and Gus is pretty easy to recognize. Also I don't know if they have canned rabbit but I can see if they have a bow and arrows for sale," West knew how Floyd felt especially being away from the gang. He burshes Lone Star in silence trying not to make Floyd feel any worse then he already was. West on the hand hoped that he was doing the right thing leaving Floyd alone for a bit.

"I know, I just hate being alone.", He replied. Floyd switched to the other side of Gus, patting him gently. "Nobody has Rabbit. Also, make sure to pick me up one of those posters if you see one; I'm making a scrapbook." The blond joked, starting to brush Gus's haunch.
Floyd was still nervous about being left alone.., in a strange.., unfamiliar place- Alright, Floyd, that's enough. He told himself, focussing more on brushing Gus. Don't scare yourself, now.

"Floyd I know how you feel just try to stay here while I'm gone unless there's an emergency. I'll wipe out my tracks and try to be quick in town," West tries to sooth Floyd, "Just please stay put we don't know who or what else is out there." West quickly finished brushing out Lone Star and went to bed.

Floyd scoffed at how concerned he was. "I'll stay put, geez. Stop asking it's annoying.", The blond chuckled. He finished up Gus's brushing and patted the horse on the head for not trying to kick him. "G'night, buddy.", He mumbled. Floyd took two steps before flopping onto the ground and almost immediately falling asleep.

West knew Floyd better then to start a fight with him, *Good night.* He knew one way or another Floyd would get himself into trouble while he was gone. West just hoped Floyd could get out of trouble on his own.

(I'm going to do a time skip to where Goose wakes up to West being gone so he spitefully goes out to explore; if that's not a problem.)

Floyd woke up slowly, grumbling and rolling over from the sun in his eye. It took him a moment but when he realized West was gone he jumped up, checking to see if he really was. Seeing the spot where his "partner" was last night empty, Floyd let out a lost sigh.

The young man looked around a bit, not really knowing what else to do. He looked at Gus and sighed, the horse whinied back. He looked up through the canopy of the patch of trees they were sat in. It took him a moment, but he had an idea; "C'mon Gus, West isn't here to tell us what to do- we should check out the lay of the land.", He said, getting up and brushing his legs off.

West rode calmly until he got close to the town. Carefully he dismounts and walks towards the town hoping his disguise would hold. Lone Star paws the ground behind him as West walks away. This trip he knew would take some time and West also considered that Floyd wouldn't bother to heed his warning. West sighs quietly wondering if this was the right choice.


Desta hits a piece of flint to a stone hoping for a spark to light the dry kindling. The freshly killed rabbit lay beside the fire pit as Duke watches it intently.
"You got it Duke," Desta told him, "Its dead. Mind keeping an ear out for any trouble?"
Duke barks once in agreement as Loki snorts a short distance away. It took a few tries, but Desta eventually got a fire going. Taking precautions, she puts the rabbit on a skewer and starts cooking it. She didn't have to glance at Duke to know he was drooling.
