"Hey, we have a Lux restaurant in the Interspace. Something about the Narrators really liking it fpr some reason." Lishian comments. "We should try the smaller retaurants though, theyre less likely to be busy serving other people so we can ask questions."

Hanako came out of the sweet shpp with a small bg of goodies. "Hey guys, they accept any currency here!"

"Oh for the love of Soleli-"

"what did you get?" i ask, as i begin making my way to the opportune. i hope they accept US currency here because that's all i have, aside from a few Devils Coins. i don't think they take the devils currency here.

Eli reaches the door first, holding the door open, grinning at me as she peeks inside. "this is going to be fun" she says, grabbing Kyrn and putting the little dragon in my satchel as i pass.

the inside of the resturant is quite nice, with a few booths and tables lining the wall. a small sign leans against the wall reading "seat yourself" in curly script. "lets take that booth in the very back" i suggest.

"Only if theres a back doorz oh, there is. Sure." Lishian says.

"Extra-sugar coffeee fudge!" Hanako seems unfazed by the fact tht she hs just bought a pile of sugar and sits down, th bag of sweets stashed away.

the waiter approaches, quickly jotting down Hanakos order. "anything else for y'all?" she asks, pen poised above her pad, ready to write.

"i'll have a strawbeery milkshake" i say, glancing at the menu in front of me. "i'll have a caremal coffee" Eli decides, glancing over my shoulder. the waiter nods, jotting that down and taking the menus from everyone who has ordered.

"awesome, and would you like some of our complimentary pastries while you wait?" she asks, biting the clicker part of her pen.

Hanakp was about to say yes, but Lishian elbowed her. "No thanks."

"What was thst for?" Hanako hissed quietly.

"You literlaly just accidentlly ordered more sugrt reats, im not dealing with you nd a sugar high. Sugars bad enough in my world, and our sugars been drenched in goodness knows what."

"of course, your drinks will be out in a moment" the waitress says, turning heel and heading into the back. as soon as she's gone, Eli pulls Kyrn out of her pocket and sets him on the table, petting his head with one finger.

"could you do me a favor?" she asks, and Kyrn gives her a suspicious look. "what is it?" he questions, curling up on himself. "i want you to follow that waitress, and don't get caught" she tells him. he nods, flapping his tiny little wings and making my way into the back, undetected.

"now, lets start thinking of some questions to ask" i say, once Kyrn is out of sight.

"First off general infoabout the place." Lish starts listing. "Then where we can find a cheap inn. The dodgier the better, if theres no way out of here theres bound to be a black market i can-"

"Lishian."

"...fine. no dodgy hotel dealings."

"actually, finding an underground market might not be a bad idea" Eli says, nodding. i could see how helpful that could be. might be able to use the devils currency there, too. if they even know what that is.

"alright, so those, but lets also ask about the people here, they're bound to know something" i suggest, thinking a bit.

"Yeah." Hanakp nods. "Thats sounds good. Lishian, yoyre in charge of asking because you have like a 20 on the charisma diceroll or something."

"Fine." Lishian sighs.

"good because i'm not going to ask" i whisper, as the waitress returns. in one hand, she holds the tray of drinks, and in the other she holds Kyrn. she sets down the drinks on her table, dropping Kyrn next to them. "i'm sorry, but all pets must be within five feet of their owners, and are not allowed in the kitchens due to health standards" she apologizes, giving us a smile.
