Ruby Hill ~ Open
She nodded at the gossiping bit, awkwardly fiddling with the hem of her sweater before glancing at Flayke following the cawing and puffing up of their feathers. She was a bit curious whether Scarlet could actually understand what the white raven was saying but she'd had enough social interaction already so she just nodded and found somewhere to sit and gently pet Bean who she'd moved onto her lap.

Elizabeth Magdalene Bean
Maggie returns from putting her bags away and looks around at the different people, trying to decide who to interact with. Well, those already interacting were kind of off limits - she didn't want to force herself into a conversation - and those engaged with phones she figured wouldn't like an interruption.
She spots Alia, seemingly empty as she is, and can't help but bounce over, determined to try and figure out a way to get a smile out of her before their time together ends. Her first thought is to ask if she's lost, just for teasing's sake, but she doesn't follow through, choosing a safer route instead. "Hello, my fair lady. May I help you with your luggage?" Maggie asks, giving a bow and smiling softly at Alia while offering her services. "Afterwards, would you want to explore the school perhaps with a few others if we can round them up? No, I'm getting ahead of myself."

(Haha, a lot of words to say that Jason did nothing but people watch. x) Perhaps I could stand to lose a few words.. Open for interaction, lol.)
Jason Gudbrand
Jason is a bit hesitant about taking the note in case he shocks Artemis, but then he reasons with himself that it'd be unlikely to shock him and takes it, reading it quietly to himself. He nods his thanks and sits back down, again on the edge of his seat. He rests his elbows on his knees and props his head up in his hands. He spots some people already interacting and he silently watches them, taking note of how they acted around each other since both were perfect strangers before today.
Jason watches the student with the white crow looking bird, taking note of how she positions herself to get different points across and the strange way she seems to be able to talk to - or at least understand - the bird. There's another person with a bird - a parakeet but still a bird - and Jason feared he'd mix the two up really quickly. This student seems a bit bouncy and Jason figured it would probably be hard to keep up with their chatter, but perhaps that'd be a way to tell them apart. These two suggested that interacting isn't as scary or hard as he deemed it.
The one with the cat had tired of interaction rather quickly in Jason's perspective and the one talking to the bouncy student seems to have been tired before he had even started the conversation. Talk about being introverted; Jason could relate and he finds himself smiling at the similarity between him and a few of the students.
He notices the almost emotionally-dead girl enter the room in a manner that isn't unfamiliar to him. There are also two students who look something alike, next to the wall. Jason doesn't want to interrupt whatever the one is doing on his device, is hesitant to approach a group of two or more people, and the emotionless girl kinda scared him, so he decides to stay put.
Those really weren't the students that captivated him anyways - Artemis did a fine job of doing that. Surprisingly enough to him, Jason's first thought isn't of jealousy that Artemis is so good at drawing, it's of admiring how talented he is. At this point in time, his speeding heart has slowed down enough for his sparking to stutter to a stop. This gives his focus the opportunity to turn away from trying to question why he wouldn't immediately jump to the competitive train of thought like he normally did.

Alia Surae

Alia stared blankly at the strange girl, wondering for a bit if Maggie was speaking with someone she hadn't noticed before. Once she had mentaly confirmed that, yes, the girl was indeed talking to her she nodded. "Ok. I am not too far but it will save me the trouble to figure out how to get a third arm to enter the building." Of course it was only a joke, she coudn't grow limbs and her flying balls were incapable of opening doors due to their size but out of habit she said it without any change to her facial expression. "Going looking around the school seem interesting too, a group exploration would be fun."

Mort gives a tired smile. "Why, I've always thought of it as quite ordinary, but..... thank you, Bones, is it?"

Bones smiled back, clearly barely holding in their energy. "Yup!", They chirped. "Many people aren't named that where I'm from."
"Also, yup, it's Bones, I'm guessing the one and only."

Mort laughs a little bit at this. "True, I can't say I've ever met a 'Bones' before. Interesting choice of name though, certainly unique." Shifting his bag, which weighs a good bit, over to the other shoulder, he nods to Bones. ".....well, I'm going to drip this off at the dorms now, but I hope to see you around."
