(Sorry about dipping. Life got hecktic. I'm back now :D)

Dream:
I sigh and lift my hands off the keyboard, scratching my neck slightly nervously.
"Sorry again for the intrusion you guys. I really don't have to stay, I'll be fine on the outside on my own. And even if you do let me stay, I'll probably be here no more than a week. I have places I want to go," I say, already getting antsy ay the thought of being locked up in this apartment for more than a week and a half.

Ant:
I'm jolted out of my thoughts as Dream stops playing and begins to speak. I'm not really listening to him, so I just stare at him and blink.

Zak:
I pull in air through my teeth as another sharp pain prods my shoulder. I grab the collar of my hoodie and shirt and pull them down onto my left forearm, exposing my left shoulder. I scratch it, then startle as I see it.
"Uhm... Alex? Do you think this is normal?" I ask, gesturing to the gems protruding from, and making little dents in my skin where I can only assume more gems are soon to emerge.

(It's all good. :D)

Destiny:
Destiny had decided to take another few slices of cucumber during the song. After the performance, she was surprised and a tiny bit sad when she realized the cucumber was no more. She had finished it off. "No problem; you're fine. Places you want to go? Where's that? Being the child I am, I want to go with you and see what I can see, but that's not always the best thing. We can't keep you locked in here, that'd be rude... But if you do decide to leave, I'll miss you. Also, great playing!" Destiny shoots him a double thumbs up when praising his ability to play the piano.

Payton:
Payton woke up to something rummaging in the kitchen. "Alex?" The noises in the kitchen stop. Payton decides he has to investigate, so he gets to his feet and stumbles to the kitchen, still half asleep. Well, he found someone in the kitchen, but it definitely wasn't Alex. He was greeted with a... was it a knife? to the throat. That woke him up, at least.
"... Oh, you're just a human." The knife retreated and was put back in its scabbard with a soft click. Payton stared at the not human in front of him. That's strange. The not human looked human. They stood upright like a human, had human hands and feet, wore clothes, spoke a human language - German, Spanish, Japanese, or English, all of which Payton could understand - and had other human enough attributes.
"Aren't you human yourself?" Payton asks. It was an acceptable question since the being seemed to be human as well.
"Haha. No... No. Humans are... No, I'm a fox. A kitsune. And I'm hungry. So don't try and chase me away because I will have to kill you." The kitsune bit into a slice of bread, humming softly as they looked Payton up and down. Payton was not ready for a kitsune to enter his world. A friend if his had liked the creatures, but Payton hadn't done anything to get to know the tales about them. There had been tales of zombies, but he hadn't heard of kitsunes... The kitsune finish up their thought, "This food is good. Souls are better to consume, obviously, but most are zombies now. There's you, but I have a feeling you want to live." Payton shudders. Perhaps he was still just dreaming. He decided to head back to the couch and try and wake up.
He opened his eyes to find the kitsune kneeling next to the couch and watching him. The kitsune's stormy blue eyes were only a few inches away from Payton's brown ones. He yelps and throws himself back to try and escape the kitsune. Payton ends up knocking the couch backwards and he rolled off when it toppled over. He backs against the bookshelf behind him and watches the kitsune, who, in turn, was watching him. "No, no, don't worry. You're safe. Thanks for the food."
The food? Oh no, the food! "You didn't eat all of it, right?" Payton checks, getting to his feet and rushing to check.
"I did not eat all of it." The kitsune assured. Payton grumbled to himself when he realized that 'not all of it' meant that they left less than a meal left.

Alex:
"Um, no, I don't think so. But then again, I don't know much about what's normal and what's not. My mind confuses facts with fiction and doesn't like to stay in reality a lot of the time." Alex shrugs apologetically. He racks his brain to try and think of what to do if something like this happens, but he can't remember what to do since he'd never been taught. Oh well, time to improvise. Alex gave a few suggestions of what to do if Zak's arm was hurting, such as put a heat pad on it.

Dream:
I chuckle at Destiny
"I'm traveling up north. I know we're only in West Virginia, but I hope to get to New York. I caught a radio broadcast when I was in flo- back home, I mean. There's a civilization up in the Statue of Liberty. I hope to get there.

Ant:
I startle.
"Are you serious? Like a whole community of people?" I ask, and Dream nods.
"From what I heard, there are 100 plus people there, with many of them being military, so it's very safe," He says.

Zak:
I'm in shock. Alex is recommending this to stop the pain, but he sounds distant and foggy. There are diamonds protruding from my upper arms, shoulders, and I can only assume from my back as well. I look up at him, still not really listening, and I simply blink bewilderedly at him.

Destiny
Destiny smiles at Dream in response to his laughter. She liked laughter. Laughter was good. It meant someone was happy, and she liked to know people were happy since it cheered her up.
"Wow. Can we come with you?" Destiny sometimes referred to herself as 'we', so in this situation, 'we' could mean either herself or Ant and her. Most likely the latter suggestion. Destiny wouldn't want to leave Ant.

Payton
The kitsune didn't seem to want to leave any time soon. After a few minutes, Payton had learned the kitsune called itself Nikkie, there were other kitsunes around all of which were more hostile, and that Nikkie was good at keeping quiet. The last one he learned was actually not gathered from conversation but rather from a short scene when Nikkie walked over to Payton without the latter knowing. Nikkie had, in return, gotten a nasty cut from the blade Payton had been using to sharpen a stick.
"Don't humans like company?" Nikkie asks Payton once the human had calmed down enough from the experience.
"Yes, sometimes. They don't like it when things sneak up on them." Payton says, internally debating whether or not to help the now injured kitsune.
"I wasn't sneaking around." Nikkie stated it as if it should have been obvious.
"Right, of course not." Payton sighs and puts the stick and knife down to get something to help the kitsune.

Alex
Alex offers a hot pad to Zak after having him sit down. He also gives Zak a hug. Hugs were something Alex gave at any time of the day for any reason, sometimes no reason at all other than to hug someone. Alex sits down next to Zak and nervously bites his lip, trying to think about what else he could do to help Zak. Oh! Something warm to eat or drink? Maybe? No, they're in a tree house. A tree house is flammable, so no flame. With Alex's luck, it'd burn down in no time.

Ant:
I nod in agreement with Destiny. It would be amazing if we could go with Dream. We could offer him company and friends, and he could offer us knowledge of the outside world and protection. Maybe it wasn't a fair trade, but it seemed good enough for me.

Dream:
I tilt my head, slightly confused.
"You really wanna come with me? I mean alright, but just to let you know, I've been alone for the last few months, so I might act a bit strange," I say, crossing my ankles in front of me on the piano bench. The similarity of these two to George and Nick shocks me.
"Yall remind me of my friends from back home. Wanna hear more about them?" I ask, looking to Destiny, figuring she was the storytelling type.

Zak:
I sigh and lean up against Alex, sighing. I wonder where he got the hot pad from.
"Thanks, but I'm fine. Just a little freaked out," I say, looking up at him with a grin. "You would be too if your skin started sprouting diamonds," I say, shutting my eyes and leaning my head on his shoulder.

Destiny:
"I do really want to come. We're all a bit strange. Our own kind of strange." Destiny notes. People being strange didn't bother her. She was usually the strange one in gatherings, and her family was noted to being different as well, so it didn't bother her.
When offered to be told something of Dream's friends, Desetiny nods her head eagerly, looking like a tiny child as she leaned forward in her seat and looked bright eyed with curiosity at Dream. As she was nodding, her headband flopped in front of her face again. She chuckles at herself, and takes it off, brushing her hair back neatly, before slipping the headband back on. She loved stories. And music. She could tell stories and she enjoyed hearing them. Whether or not it was odd, Destiny liked to learn about people.

Payton?
Payton had been busy with the kitsune and he hadn't noticed when Alex had snuck in to grab the heat pad. Alex was really fast and liked running, the house had been his own so he knew where things were, and so the trip took less than five minutes. Alex had made sure to grab his jacket while at the house because he had the opportunity and he took it.
A few minutes later, Payton noticed that the jacket was gone. He sighs. Perhaps he could catch Alex later and apologize to him then. Nikkie asked Payton what was wrong. Payton didn't reply, because how would he explain it? Well, there was always the simple ' someone took their jacket back ' but then Payton would feel obligated to explain how he ended up in possession of the jacket and all that, so he stayed quiet.

Alex:
"Yup, probably. Or perhaps I'd brush it off as me imagining something and then try to imagine it away." Alex pulls his legs up to his chest and wraps his arms around them. However, after a few moments, Alex slipped his arms from around his legs to inside his jacket and rested them in the nice, warm cave between his chest and jacket. That way, his hands would warm up. Sure, his jacket was a few sizes too big, and it had pockets, but why put your hands in your pockets when you could slip your arms inside your jacket and be all comfy cozy that way? He did put the heat pad in his pocket, though, since he didn't want to have to get up now that Zak was resting on him and pockets were a great place to put things. He felt warm, comfortable, and he had his jacket back, so he felt safe as well. Alex hums sleepily and rests his head on Zak's.

Ant:
I sit down on the armchair across the room from Dream and Destiny, also intrigued about the mysterious Dream's backstory.

Dream:
"Well, I had two best friends and another group of good friends. You two kinda remind me of them. Their names were George and Nick. Nick was the one who convinced me to learn the piano. We actually had a band at one point. Nick sang, George played the guitar and I played the keyboard. We even had stage names. Nick was Sapnap, which is pandas spelled backward and upsidedown, and George was GeorgeNotFound. It was pretty fun.
Sap - Nick, was the more chill of the two, but he was... I dunno really how to describe him," I chuckle, " He was... eccentric, I guess. His saying was 'Hey mamas~' and even though he was straight he was 'dating' our mutual friend Karl," I do finger quotes around the word dating, as they didn't do much more than hold hands and pretend to kiss.

"And then George... well he was a transfer student from the UK and by far the best looking out of us. He screams a lot. And tends to generally stupid. He has a hard time with his feelings, but he means well. Other than that, he reminds me of Destiny. Proud of what he does, likes making people smile. Also, he was just generally confused. All the time," I laugh again.

Zak:
I yawn and stretch, shutting my eyes. I'm jolted awake by a bolt of thunder. I hop up and begin running around closing doors and windows.

Destiny:
Destiny laughs with Dream when he said that George was like her. Yup, she could be confused and a bit silly and idiotic, but she tried her best. She did like making people smile and was proud with what she accomplished. George and her weren't that different after all.
"Your friends sound amazing, really nice, and sweet. I'd love to have met them. Are we telling people stories? Stories of people? I don't know too many people other than my family and you guys. I had a few close friends in school, dropped out of school to be homeschooled, only had two friends I could keep playing with since they lived across the street, then I moved, tried to keep in touch with them until they I don't know, died? They stopped replying to the letters I sent. I" Destiny shrugs and breaks off with a wave of her hand. For a moment, her finger stopped bouncing rhythmically on her leg. Then they're tapping along merrily again.
"Since then, I haven't been able to get to know anyone other than the great people I've got with me." Destiny gestures to Dream and Ant when she mentioned the people she knew with the hand that wasn't busy drumming softly. "I know a few random stories, like the ones I've picked up while being aware to others conversation or simply observing things around me."

Alex:
Alex tried to say something, but it came out as a incoherent grumble. He stumbled to his feet, fell flat, and then got to his feet again. He put his arms back through the sleeves of his jacket and started helping closing windows and doors as best he can. Zak had done a lot during the time it had taken Alex to untangle himself and he only managed to do one or two.

Dream:
"I wish you could've met them too," I say, tears escaping from underneath my smiley mask. I wipe them off my face with the back of my hand
"I miss them," I say softly. "I didn't see them die, but it's almost certain they are. I barely survived out there. I don't think they could've. But it's possible, I guess. I spent weeks looking for them with no luck when I caught the radio interception. That's when I decided to head north," I say, not bothering to wipe any more tears off my face.

Ant:
Dream seems so sad, his tears running down his face. I badly want to hug him, but he seems not to like affection.

Zak:
I laugh as Alex falls after standing up.
"It's alright ya know, I could've gotten it myself," I say with a chuckle, shutting the last window. Another loud bolt of thunder tears through the sky ad I yelp, stumbling into Alex.

Destiny:
Destiny nods in understanding, though she stays quiet. She had lost those close to her during the zombie invasion, and she knew what it felt like. She was positive others felt the same way and so she wanted to be there for others; she helped others because it distracted her from her own pain. She didn't say anything. She felt like it would be rude to. She wouldn't know what to say anyways; words weren't exactly her forte. She was pretty sure Dream didn't like hugs since he had declined the last offer. But she could still offer one again! So she offered another hug.

Payton:
"Come on, Nikkie. We're going to go find Alex." Payton says, putting on a jacket and starting to head out the door. There wasn't an answer for a while. "Nikkie?" Payton looks around for the kitsune. He starts in surprise when Nikkie seemed to appear beside him, only alerting him of their presence when they speak.
"Who's Alex?" Nikkie tilts their head to one side.
"A friend of mine. We have to find him and make sure he's alright. I'll apologize for lashing out at him, and then we leave unless he decides that he wants to stay with us." Payton shrugs with one shoulder, opens the door, and heads out. Nikkie was at his heels. The little kitsune shifted into their adorable fox form and bounced after Payton, their tail (singular) streaming behind them like a flag.
Payton went to the place he had seen Alex last and tries to figure out where Alex had gone. The person who had taken Alex had come from... that way. Payton turns to the direction he was positive Zak had come from to gather Alex.

Alex:
"Yeah, but I like to help." Alex says, beginning to go into the super active mode he could be in when he was awake.
Alex pulls Zak close to him in a hug when he stumbled into him. "Don't worry. It's just the giants playing a game of bowling in the sky... I wonder who's winning." Alex says as he smiles, enjoying the lightning storm. If he hadn't been holding Zak, Alex would probably be outside and enjoying the storm there. That didn't mean Alex didn't want to be hugging Zak. If he wanted to be outside more than he wanted to be with Zak, he would be outside.
