(you don't need to read the manga. you could watch one or two random episodes of the anime to get a bit of an understanding of what's going on and references used ^^

( her quirk allows her the transmit vocal sound waves that interfere with the recipients normal brain waves, depending on pitch, tone ,and Hrz she can cause different outcomes ranging from memory loss, hallucinations and in very particular cases paralysis. However it does have its draw backs as the sounds that echo in her own skull cause painful headaches and can cause her to black out if she goes to far.)
