Trill shrugged it off as she walked away. He leaned back against the wall for a few moments, until the bell signaling it was time to head to class rang. He picked up his bag careful not to jostle its hidden occupant, and headed to homeroom. The science teacher often complained that most of the students were too dozy first class of the morning. This had made him notoriously picky about whom he accepted as homeroom students. As a result most of his homeroom class was made up of science nerds. Still at least they were polite with each other and did not try to pry into his business like some other students he could name.

Unfortunatley for tracey, having all the science nerds meant that mos tof the peopl she knew were in he homeroom class.

And coincidently she had the same class as Trill.

She didnt notice him at first, being a little busy tryign to convince her cousin's boyfriend's brother that no, she was not interested in joining the science club thank you very much.

Trill took his usual seat at the back of the classroom and grabbed his protruding textbook before a certain small, but well meaning reptile, pushed it completely out of his bag. He briefly wondered how often Monty read through his school books during the day.

Well it woudl mame for a vey smart companion. Hst was alwyas a bonus.

Tracey fially got Nicote, her cousins boyfriends brother, out of her hair ("no, im sure i dont wnana join") before noticing Trill sittin a few sests over.

Trill glanced around at his classmates. It was mostly the usual group with a few new freshmen added to the mix. He thought back to his own freshman days. He sat up straight, but not to formal. He found it ironic that he had needed to learn not to sit or speak to formally, while other kids are being hounded by thier parents to be more so. The thought of his parents left a pang of sadness that he shook off. Now was not the time for such memories. He doubted that any of the other students knew that he was an orphan.

The guy in front of Trill uddenly tured. "Oh hey Tril!" He grinned. "Youre alive!"

The girl next to him,his twin sister, groaned. "Ken, that is no how you greet someone you havent seen all aummer no matter how well or long yoube know them!"

"Its reasonable." Ken protested. "I mean, seriously. He might be a demigod from that Percy Jackson series!"

"The fact you kno what Percy Jackosn is is a miracle." Kari snoets, before turning to trill. "Sorry abot him. Did you have a good sumemr?" She asked. The twins were known for being chaotic science pranksters. Not a good combo, but at least they were good for a laugh. Kari was also semi popular and much nicer then her brother sometimes, talking to anyone and everyone.

Trill nodded. "It was nice, camp was as good as usual." At least that was the story for his summer disappearances. He attended various camps in other states. The Percy Jackson comment had made him uncomfortable, but he did not show it. While Sirens did live alot longer than humans that did not make them deities. He turned his attention as the science teacher walked in and the students finished finding thier seats.

The twons nodd and urned back to thefornt so they wouldnt gt into toruble for talking.not that tbat woudl di kuch to help the problem of them have flappy mouths but still.

Tracey jsut tried to hide in her seat and not lion at anyone

Trill waited with patience as the forms they always passed around on the first day of school, were handed out. This part was always pretty boring. His aunt usually signed all of his anyways. At home he could have signed them himself due to his kingship. He had to admit that after being raised royalty masquerading as a normal teen was interesting, although the double life sometimes made things complicated.

Tracey griamced when she saw the forms. At least she didn't have parent problems like some of her friends.....
