Ethan came back with a bowl of popcorn and Spaceballs in his hands. He put the popcorn on the couch and searched for the TV remote. "So, uh, nice German Shepherd. I've always wanted one. Did you know that German Shepherds' bite force is 108 kg? That's strong enough to break a human bone." He didn't know why he spat out this obvious fact.

"HE'S THE INCREDIBLE DOCTOR POL!" blared the TV.
"Crap!" Ethan said, turning the TV way down. He changed the HDMI input to the DVR and put Spaceballs into the DVR.
(That sounded funnier in my head, dang it!)

"Sorry," he apologized. "I forgot my father was watching the TV at max volume. Again." He selected the option to play the movie, grabbed the bowl of popcorn, and sat down onto the couch, expecting her to follow suit.
