Thinking along the right tracks, but if you fold it in half, it'll burn half as fast. And they don't burn at a regular pace so even if you measured out half, that doesn't necessarily mean that much will burn 30 minutes.
This one's really difficult so I might increase the reward.

Prompt II
Ashley looked around at her fellow employees, pretending to work. The others were cramming page after page of work onto their desks. Ashley had been sent here to spy on the group for important information. However, she sensed something wrong.
The woman pretended to work, making a huge mess. Ashley was surprised that noone was questioning her. Why would they do this? The thought swirled in her head as she made a bigger mess. Papers flew about in a whirlwind of white.
She tried to clean it all up, and hesitated when someone else looked at her. Why was it that she hated contact? Her mind was buzzing, but she remembered her purpose. Every time the employees had a meeting, she would eavesdrop on them. Oh god, did they not notice!
Over the next few weeks, it was still the same. Ashley spied on her worker friends, and they ignored her. It was awkward, yet the info was worth it. She sped off into the distance with her gathered info on the final day.
I wonder what's next?

It's... quite an abrupt ending. I'm looking for a short story, not a scene ^^

I think I got the riddle:
Light both ends of the first rope and one end of the second rope. Once it becomes pretty clear where the two ends of the first rope are going to meet, tie the unburnt end of the second rope to that place on the first rope, and when the ropes are both completely burnt, it will be 45 minutes
