Tracey nodded at the captain and went to work.
Nicote was muttering to himself half the time....it was hard to tell if he was cussing at prices, doing speed arithmatic, or debating out things. He glanced at the burly crew but didn't say anything. Darkelves weren't exactly liked or disliked but he didn't care to put up with this nonsense.

Captain Sharkon just grinned and started whistling a jaunty tune as he set to work on his task. The catchy melody sounded out across the deck with the mellow sound of the calm waves. He could not help thinking how different it was from his childhood home. The forest was rife with its own sounds which echoed in the closed in atmosphere. He found the sea preferable with its open air. He mused how sound carried better out on the ocean. A good loud ahoy could be heard ship lengths away, while in the woods the trees and plants seemed to cushion the sound.
The sound of boots on the wooden pier alerted him before the voice of a guardsmen sounded out, "Ahoy the ship. Permission to come aboard?'
Captain Sharky called back curious as to the visit, "Permission granted." He waited quietly as the man boarded studying his face.
"I am sergeant Connery. Do you have any crew on shore leave?"
Sharky shrugged, "Only three who be ashore to buy supplies for our next voyage. What be the trouble Sergeant?"
The officer shrugged, "Bit of a ruckus with some sailors disturbing the peace. We are trying to find what ship they are from and their Captain. May I speak with the captain of this vessel."
Sharky winked, "Ye be talkin to one of em. I be Captain Sharkon at yer service."
Sergeant Connery raised an eyebrow, "One of them?"
Captain Sharkon grinned, "The other be me missus. Its She and our Bosun and First mate who be buying our supplies."
The sergeant nodded, "There's no reports of any woman in the brawl so it sound's like its not your's causing the trouble. I will leave you in peace, although I do ask that you stay aboard your ship until this is over to avoid any mix ups or additions to the ruckus." He glanced at the Captains raised brow, "No offence intended, but I know how a man can be when defending his wife."
Sharky grinned and relaxed, "No fear of that sergeant, especially as seein that me wife be more than able to take care of herself when need be. Though I don't see her or the rest of our crew interferin in your business."
The sergeant nodded and walked down the gang plank. "You have my thanks for both your assurances and your time."
Captain Sharky leaned on his mop shaking his head. "Never a dull moment in port, and I suppose they be doing their jobs in checking every ship." It was not too long before the sergeant was scene again escorting an irate captain to the seen to hopefully control his crew.
Captain Gala leaned on the side of a building frowning at how long it was taking to relieve the situation. "I really wish they would not brawl in the streets where other people need to be walking." Finally it seemed their captain had been found and things settled down enough to allow passerbys to get through. Captain Gala sighed, "Finally. Took them long enough. Now we can finish our shopping and head back to the ship. I've had about enough for one day."

"mph." Nicote was in a pretty foul mood, the bright lights and crwods of people not helping the fac that he'd been kicked-literally-out of bed by his cat (which he used to keep the mice out of his workarea).
Tracey just shok her head at the spectacles.

(Ug back again. Me daughter caught the cold again and has been up half the nigh coughing a few times so bad that she threw up. My mother is also on a kick to finish repairing our house. Last week we painted the living room and the outside shutters. Housework is a drag and may all viruses rot in the fiery underworld of all misery.)
Captain Gala walked along the docks relieved to be nearly home. They passed be several other groups of sailors when she heard a voice. "Ahoy there ye be a pretty one."
She turned and saw the Captain from the ruckus earlier. She glared coldly. "I be taken already and if I were not I would never look twice at any man who cannot get his own crew to behave, Goodbye." She turned on her heel addressing her remarks to her crew. "Come on me hearties back aboard ship. The rest of our crew will be waiting on us with supper."
Captain Sharky left the galley wiping his brow. The cleaning was done and the stew was simmering on the stove. They really needed to look into hiring a new cook. Not that any of the crew were less than decent cooks, but it would be nice to have an actual cook again. He glanced at the clean ship and nodded approvingly, before addressing the crew, "Ye did well today mates. The Tigershark looks almost brand new. Captain Gala should be pleased.
A sudden voice rang out from the docks. "Avast be that a scurvy pirate on me ship."
Captain Sharkon glanced over the side and grinned at the sight of his wife's smile. "Aye me beauty. I've takin your ship and ye cant have it back without a kiss harharr."
Captain Gala smiled, "If ye've not got me ship shipshape ye scurvy swab then I'll make ye walk the plank."
Sharky grabbed his chest and pretended to stagger, "Have a heart me dear heart and think of the fishes."
Gala laughed and walked up the plank and gave her spouse a quick peck, "Ye spend more time in the water than out most days ye tease. The ship looks great. Ye lot did well. Oh an Prunperor found us a seller with apple pies. We picked one up for desert."
The dark haired elf captain laughed and patted the Sylesti's back. "What would we do without ye matey.? I've got some ship's stew on. Should be ready soon. Heard there was a ruckus in town today. "
Captain Gala sighed. "Another riot involving unruly sailors. Ye'd think their Captain would be smart enough to not sent the volatile ones ashore in towns and ports like these. I've had enough of crowds for one day. At any rate the soup smells nice. I think we'll have dinner and an early evening. Tide should be ready for casting off about dawnish. I'll leave the night watch rotation up to ye tonight."
Captain Sharkon smiled at his wife. "Aye ye look worn out." He turned and called to the crew. "Ahoy mateys dinner should be about ready. All hands to the galley for grub. Last one there has to wash the dishes!"

(is there a pinglist?)
Nicote lazily went to go toss randomly carefully put away his new equiptmenet. The only part of the ship that wasn't ******-and-span...his workshop/quarters. (It's sort of a messy-clean, like you can still find stuff to an extenet but it's not perfectly in order, everything's just a little haphazard). He then made his way to the galley, brain wheels turning on how to improve that squeeky anchor that was bothering him for the last three weeks...
Tracey grinned. "Aye aye, Cap'n!" she hurried down the the galley, boy she was starving...and pie sounded delicious.

Axel set down what he was working with and made his way to the mess hall, Coast trotting happily along behind him. Axel smirked to himself; he certianally wasn't about to agrue about that rule about the dishes, especially since he was hardly ever last for meals.
The other reason was that pie sounded especially tempting.

"Oh, you'd better believe it. Not to mention the new cook that joined the crew recently... Uh, her name's slippin' my mind, though." Axel chimed, offering a sheepish grin. "Anyhow, she's stellar. Fine chef if I do say so."
Coast yipped as if in agreement, bouncing a little bit on his small paws.

"Sounds good." Tracey grinned.
Nicote stumbled blindly (literaly) into the galey. "Did one of you happen to toss my backup lens case? I can't find it and I couldn't get replacements in town."
