Personality: While Karla has a dramatic and mumbling streak to her, she much prefers to sit down and observe. She is known for remembering the little things about people and if others weren't still wary of her for her bullying past, they might just come to her for pep talks.
If certain nerves are hit, she might get defensive and ends up being very sharp-teethed. Might also be just an itsy-bitsy paranoid.

Likes: Lizards, insects and cats, dressing up, encyclopedias, watching others get flabbergasted at her occasional totally-not-intended poor English.

Dislikes: Policemen and military officers who wear their uniform in civil, the confusion that moving to completely different country brings, mess and someone being careless with their money.

Reason to investigate: She knew of Hajiro, and although she is sort of irked that he was being buddy-buddy with cops, he was the first one to comfort her after one of the first fits of bullying she had to go through. She didn't ever told him how grateful she is for that, so maybe this would be a way to pay him back.

Any special skills?: With her exceptional memory and eye for details, she must have been a hawk in her past life.
Perhaps speaking in her first language counts too? Its also important to mention that she has some skill in self-defense, although it is scrappy and more about instinct than an actual tactic.

Other: After she enrolled into the school, few people started picking on her due for various reasons (The most popular being her weight) and although she seemed at first determined to ignore them, at some point she snapped. She was known to be very easy to set off and someone getting into a shouting match with her was a daily routine.
The bullying took place long enough to escalate into actual physical fights before teachers finally stepped in.
