Nick swore again. Why did she have to make his job so hard? He wasn't sure whether to follow her or just tell the boss that he killed her. He decided to follow her. If the boss found out that he had lied, it wouldn't be pretty.

She jumped up onto a low roof. She could run better from here, she glanced behind her, seeing that he was following her.
