The boy took notice of the note, wondering what the hell it was doing in his phone case. He sighed, ripping off his mask and getting off the couch. "Not like I have anything else to do..." He speed read the note, shrugged like: yolo, and took off running through the front door. In mere minuets he appeared at the gate in an orangish blur before skidding to a stop.

[Gail| Hawkgirl]
Gail tried not to giggle, slapping a hand over her mouth to keep quiet. A scrawny kid running into a gate was the funniest thing she had seen in weeks.

"Right. It's not your fault the gate appeared out of nowhere," Lucas said. It was nearly impossible to tell if he was mocking the boy or if he was being serious. His face was completely expressionless at this point.

"So I had to run and I missed seeing someone run into a gate?" Kai muttered, annoyed. "And I closed the diner early for this. What did you say about the notes? Who has them?"

"I do." Dee said, waving hers in the air. She hadn't noticed the speedy blur that was now a boy standing beside them. "It told me to come here." She kept a wary distance from the others just to be safe. She didn't know why she was here anyway.

"Are you alright? Did you actually run into a gate?" If possible, Chris' baby blue eyes got wider as he heard what had happened to Kolivan. "Oh and I haven't introduced myself." He beamed a boyish grin and then proudly stated. "I'm Christopher but you can call me Chris." No one looked particularly impressed by his attempt at breaking the ice between the strangers.

Kolivan crossed his arms, "I'm fine." He stated flatly, wrinkling his nose. "Koliv'n." He said, rubbing the side of his face with a pale hand.

[Ben| The Flash]
"I got one." The boy said casually with a shrug, "And I'm Ben I guess." He shrugged again, his sleepy tone ringing clearly in his speech.

[Gail| Hawkgirl]
"...Gail..." The bird said shyly, suddenly aware of all the strangers near her. She stared at the ground, wondering what time it was and how many earthworms were crawling beneath the gravel.

"Lucas." He said, running a hand through his hair and glancing at each person in the group with extreme intensity. He paused for a second as he did, then added, "Jordan. Lucas Jordan."

"Kai." He said, pushing his glasses up his nose slightly. "And does anyone know why the notes brought us all together? I mean, I don't think we all come from the same..." He winced and glanced at Lucas, who glared right back. "Backgrounds."

The brunette flipped her hair over her shoulder, raising an eyebrow as she surveyed the group and the strange people in it. "Deanne." She didn't offer any further information either, she just observed the others with her hazel eyes.

[Ben| The Flash]
"Yeah, wow, okay. A meet and greet with strangers! Woo!" The boy said rather unenthusiastically. "I ran all the way here for nothing. Welp." Ben shrugged.

[Sergeant Sanders| Projector Guy]
A man opened the gates, his cold calculating gaze swept over reach and everyone of them. "You're late." He growled simply, smacking a pointer into his open palm. "But present. Except for... the vigilante. Never mind that. Come, with, me."

Dee frowned, and Lucas echoes her expression. "Wait but who are you?" She tilted her head slightly, her eyes fixating on the man's face and then the pointer that he was smacking into his hand.

Kai watched, shaking a bit from fear. The boy was obviously kind of cowardly compared to the others, although it was probably for good reason seeing how intimidating the man was.

"Let me guess, you made someone slip us all those notes? Well, um I'm Chris..." Christopher offered, rubbing the back of his neck and glancing around at the others.

"Sergeant Sanders, fifth division, branch 4-L13N5." The man answered with a hint of agitation in his voice. His eyes narrowed when he spotted Kai, "Young man, if you wish to go home then go. This is no place for scared little boys." Sanders stated flatly.

That seems to make something click. The boy narrowed his blue eyes and raised his chin slightly. Without saying a word, he followed the man. With a shrug, Dee followed as well, barely throwing a glance over her shoulder.

"So who's the vigilante you speak of?" She asked as they walked, crossing her arms as her combat books clicked against the floor with every step. "He supposed to be here too?"

"Wait is the government after us?" Chris asked, his eyes wide. Lucas, who was behind him, looked prepared to smack him upside the head. "I know I cheated on that one test in third grade but-"

"Shut up." Lucas growled.

Sergeant Sanders shot Chris a dirty look, like, 'shut up now or this pointer is going up your nose.' "Yes." He replied, turning to look at Deanne, "This... vigilante, is supposed to be on this team. however we have just one, its bitty, issue. The fabled Court of Owls." He sneered, like he couldn't believe it himself.

"So the government's afraid of a bunch of bird people?" Ben said incredulously.
