"I could protect myself..." Merrick said, his voice even.

"To work for the government and eliminate the mafia should be both of our priorities" she pointed out, "Why do you work here if you don't care about me?" your voice fell, turning dull and monotoned. As she said the sentence, it seemed like the light drained from her eyes and her limbs hung down a lot heavier than before. She seemed lifeless, a bit like she was, how she had looked before being turned into a cyborg.

To her, it was the harshest insult you could give. It echoed around her brain, if he didn't care about her. It meant she had no handler. That make her worthless, useless, she was just another corpse without him. It frustrated her how he couldn't see that.

Angelica felt something in her throat. This wasn't right. It couldn't be. She felt a tugging at her heart, she felt angry and very hurt. It showed on her face as tears pricked up in her corners of her eyes. Her arm moved quickly, yanking a towel off a hook and tearing it. She lobed it at him and furiously stormed out of the room, nose high in the air like she didn't care. She was hurting badly inside. How could he be so insensitive?

As soon as she left the room, Angelica hopped up the stairs, two at a time and opened her door, slamming it shut and flicked the three locks shut, jamming it with a hard kick. She was lucky it was designed not to break down like a normal door would. Her shoulder hunched as she flung her gun down on the bed, sitting down best to it and furiously taking all the parts apart from it.

Merrick shook his head. "Children." he grumbled. "Why couldn't there be adult cyborgs who are mature and don't storm off like five year olds?"

her fingers moved as fast rebuilding it and they did removing each part. Angelica kept on going, still hurt. She'd heard about cyborgs who'd died due to their handlers hating them. She knew she could die, even if she was regularly told she couldn't. She could outwear herself, or shoot herself in the eye. The latter seemed shorter. She was half considering it before letting out a sigh. He was drunk, his true feelings might not show. he could turn up apologizing a blabbering mess, either way she had to follow orders.

Merrick was face down on the table, snoring and muttering in his sleep. He was so intoxicated, he wasn't aware of his surroundings.

Jericho stood up, moving silently from where he'd been sat on the ledge outside. He could feel his earring pulling at his ear as his heel clicked down first on the cobbled ground. He walked up the stairs and opened the door into the building, opening it. He drew his shoes along the mat out of normal routine, although he knew they were not dirty. Looking across the room at Shabre, his finger made a beckoning motion for her to come to him as he continued walking, sniffing the air and guessing from the smashed glass on the floor something had happened. He made a hand gesture to suggest she could her weapon out, not sure if they were dealing with an intruder.
