"Attention students, I hope you have all had a chance to make some new acquaintances with your fellow students. " As he was talking something made a strange noise, it came from the courtyard. Everyone turned and looked in the direction of the courtyard. Some students started to walk toward the courtyard, perhaps to try and figure out what made the noise, while some other ran in terror back to their houses, but the ones that remained just sat there and continued to talk as if nothing happened.


The noise sounded like a screech then a thud, And all that was left in the courtyard was a feather.


have 10 hours to try and figure out what the noise was.

*hey, what was that? Schreech, then a thud, then a feather?

My bets a Hippogriff.* Pyro scratched his head. *but thats weird. Hagrids in charge of em (I think), so its weird if ones running around.*

Robynn darted to the courtyard not giving it a second thought. She stood there analyzing a situation. She was trying to put the pieces together in her head, a screech, a thud, and a feather.


She screamed out not realizing that her answer didn't make sense."A bird!"

Hannah: The thud was too large for it too be a bird.
Robynn: Well what do you think it could have been.
hannah: My bet is either on a griffin or a hippogriff.

Hannah bent down to pick up the feather.

Hannah: Indeed that is odd, why would one have gotten out and how?


Robynn: It could've been a griffin, Hagrid isn't in charge of those so it could have just been a wild one.

I start to look around for any claw-marks or broken stone. 'It was either a hippogriff or a griffin.' I say to myself as I remembered what the noise sounded like a screech and a thump.

I jumped when I heard the loud noise and I quickly ran to the courtyard to see if anyone was hurt and that everything was okay. "Is everyone okay? No one hurt?" I ask loudly as I look around at all the people.
