So in this made up kingdom of owls , there's a barn owl named Soren who gets snatched after his brother pushes him out of the nest. He gets taken to this "orphanage" but it's really just a place where the leaders are brainwashing owlets. He meets his best friend, Gylfie, an elf owl. They plan on escaping and an owl that works at the "orphanage" teaches them to fly. They escape and meet two more friends, Twilight, a st taught great gray, and Digger, a burrowing owl. Together they go to the Great Ga'Hoole Tree, a thing they thought was just legend, but it's real. And yeah. You probably could look it up for a better summary. I could go on and on about it.
