Shadow stopped skating when he saw knuckles...this will be fun.He said to himself

Knuckles took one more look around before cautiously continuing on, fists clenched at his sides. He had a strange feeling in his stomach, like he was being watched... then again, he had felt like that ever since he started the Ressistance.

Shadow followed seeing the clenched fist....

Knuckles went from a walk to a trot, eyes darting. His vision was a sort of a crutch in a way, mostly because his other senses were on the fritz. His usually sharp hearing and smell had dwindled due to the sounds and scents of battle. More the reason to return home.

Shadow speed up....but was still a good ways away from Knuckles

The echidna, who was more than a little paranoid at the moment, made a sharp turn into an alley way. He put up his fists in a defensive posture and growled.

Shadow didn't enter the alleyway...he just stood outside of it....

Knuckles lowered his stance and glanced at the wall. He latched on and climbed up the short building (though it was really just a stone husk at this point...), hoping to get a good vantage point.
