"It has been confirmed in past cases that Kaitou Midnight likes to mess with people, play games, and is very cocky with the police. I also really didn't want to say this, but apparently he is what some would say a 'Lady's Man' and has a weakness for pretty women," the Chief blushed and reluctantly admitted.

"Auris is veeery pretty, she also won't be tricked easily" Gaia suggested, motioning to the emotionless hybrid next to her. "I hate to agree, but I have very strong mental will, I can do my best to act innocent and unknowing, as it is part of my mission" Auris said, her face still void of any emotion. "I suppose I can attempt any plan you have" Auris said.

"Hopefully it won't come to that. Do any of you have an idea as to what the next clue is?" the Chief asked all of us.

"Obviously, I'll have to enter the pokemon contest." Mio said.
"You don't have any pokemon!" Talon said indignantly.
"I'll be the pokemon. I'll be a Diancie I once imitated, you'll be my trainer." Mio said.
"Wh-what?!!!"

"The Pokemon Contest," Papa and I said at the same time.
"Okay then, you all have a lead so investigate," the Chief said before we left to go see the Contest.

"No. This is stupid." Talon said, shaking his head.
"DO IT!!! I can't stand to make my master, our master, angry." Mio said.
Talon rolled his eyes. "Fine. But only this once. I don't want to become an aspiring coordinator."


That night......

Mr. Contesta, Mr. Sukizo, and Hearthome City's own Nurse Joy sat as the judges of the contest.

Talon walked onto the stage and gulped.
So many people... he thought.
"Okay! Go Diancie!" he cried, sending Mio out of a pokeball.
"Diancie!!!" Mio cried, trying hard not to laugh.
The crowd oohed and aahed. Diancie was said to be the most beautiful pokemon of all.
"Use Diamond Storm!" Talon commanded.
Mio executed the move sending literally a storm of diamonds into the air. The tornado of diamonds glittered, sending rainbow beams of light throughout the stadium.

Kaitou Midnight, disguised as a janitor, hid the next clue while everyone was cheering for the Diancie and swiftly slipped out to the next location. As he passed the exit, he accidentally bumped into a young girl with Pokemon ears, a tail, and blue hair.
"Sorry 'bout that miss," he said in a Southern accent(obviously not his real accent).

"Oh um, it's fine..." Luca replied to the janitor. He has a really weird aura, she thought in her head.
"Okay company! Let's find that clue!" Luca said to Gaia, Auris, and Papa.

Auris stared at the janitor. "Can you tell me your full name, how long you've been working here, position, and a form of identification?" Auris asked in her monotone voice.

Kaitou Midnight had previously made an exact mask of the janitor's face and had "borrowed" his ID.
"Sure thing miss, the name's Randy Samuel Buckets, I'm one of the janitors here and've been for close to two years ," he said, still using the Southern accent, as he pulled out the ID of Randy S. Buckets and continued on his way.
Later he thought that the woman was very weird, questioning him like a cop.
