Majority of my characters are 15-17 years old so I would say at the start of the school year unless you have something else in mind
If they are going to school, should it be a normal school with one class to teach them how to use their ablilities (Such as in a profession, how to stabilize their abilities, ext) or a flat out magic school?

ah so you're going for school already, well works for me. But, should everybody (institution) know about their power already ?
If you want I don't really mind =P I was more thinking "secret club" kinda thing ^^

It would make it interesting to have some have no idea that they have powers, yay conflict!!
I like the sound of a secret club of people that know about their powers or have a feeling that they do (strange occurance with their unknown power).

yes, we could begin with a few characters (let's say 2 or three,) gathering together when they notice the same oddities with the others, and create a club, to search for more ability users.
(plus, that makes it easier for other people to join even when the RP begins)
And we need a mentor, like a ability user teacher or something ? that watch over them, and eventually learn them about their power

Yes! The mentor could be a teacher that grew up experiancing the same as the students and takes them under his/her wing to show them how to use their abilities.
And for funzies we could throw a character in that starts out with good intentions but they become corrupt over time (similar to Sasuke from Naruto D: )

oh yes ! I see it so much, one that has the ability to "nullify" that of others (only temporarily) and who is so set on being "normal" that he tries to force other abilities users to give up their powers (his ability relies on will : if you fight it, you regain your powers, otherwise not)
Plus, since I don't like monochromatic characters, he could help some ability users to get rid of it, if it's dangerous/problematic (like mind reading for example, I'm pretty sure that would be ultra depressing)

The teacher should definatly try to eliminate dangrous powers that threaten the saftey of themselves and/or others. There should also be people that know about their powers but are ashamed of them.
Would you like to start building characters?

as main. Do you have preferences ? I rather like the teacher I admit =P
plus some other non main char needed ^^

I would really like to be the antogonist, I have so many evil ideas >:{D I think we should each have a teen that have powers, I would like mine to be male
A common character sheet would be nessasary, do you want to make it or should I?

If you feel like doing it, please do so, I most likely would forget a bunch of things, I'm a famous scatterbrain ^^
